For most buyers choosing between these two phones, the POCO X8 Power is the more balanced pick if battery capacity, video-format support, an ultra-wide camera and the longer software-support figures reported by 91mobiles matter most. The OnePlus Nord CE6 makes more sense if you want its stronger listed chipset or a 144Hz display. Prices vary by source and storage configuration, so check the amount at checkout before deciding.
POCO X8 Power vs OnePlus Nord CE6: key differences
| Feature | POCO X8 Power | OnePlus Nord CE6 |
|---|---|---|
| Listed chipset | Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 | Snapdragon 7s Gen 4; the stronger listed chipset in 91mobiles’ comparison |
| Display | 6.83-inch, 1.5K AMOLED, 120Hz; Dolby Vision and HDR10 listed | 6.78-inch, 1.5K AMOLED, 144Hz; HDR10 listed |
| Battery and wired charging | 10,000mAh and 100W, according to 91mobiles’ 2026 comparison | 8,000mAh and 80W; OnePlus India confirms these claims on its product page |
| Rear cameras | 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide | 50MP main and 2MP depth sensor; no ultra-wide listed |
| Software support reported by 91mobiles | Android 16 with HyperOS 3; four major Android upgrades and six years of security updates | Android 16 with OxygenOS 16; two major Android upgrades and four years of security updates |
| Weight and thickness | 229g; 8.65mm | 215g; 8.5mm |
Specifications and software-support figures in this table are from 91mobiles’ comparison published 6 September 2026, unless noted otherwise. They show the trade-off: POCO offers more battery capacity and camera versatility on paper, while OnePlus lists the faster chipset, higher refresh rate and lighter build.
Which phone should you buy under ₹40,000?
Choose the POCO X8 Power for battery, media and flexibility
The POCO is the stronger fit if you want the larger listed battery, faster peak wired charging, an ultra-wide rear camera and Dolby Vision support. Its reported update commitment is also longer. Those advantages make it the better all-round spec package for buyers who value endurance and broader everyday features.
Choose the OnePlus Nord CE6 for chipset and refresh rate
The Nord CE6 is the more compelling option if you prioritize the stronger listed Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset or want a 144Hz screen. It is also 14g lighter and 0.15mm thinner than the POCO according to 91mobiles’ comparison. The chipset comparison is spec-led: no matched sustained-gaming test establishes how the phones perform over long sessions. OnePlus advertises high-frame-rate gaming, but supported games and results depend on the title and settings (OnePlus India product page).

How much do the two phones cost?
Prices depend on storage and the listing date. 91mobiles’ comparison, published 6 September 2026, lists the following prices:
| Configuration | POCO X8 Power | OnePlus Nord CE6 |
|---|---|---|
| 8GB + 128GB | ₹35,999 | ₹37,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | ₹38,999 | ₹41,999 |
Those comparison prices put the Nord CE6 256GB above ₹40,000. But OnePlus India’s purchase page displayed 8GB/128GB at ₹33,999 and 8GB/256GB at ₹36,999 before exchange when accessed on 5 October 2026; the page showed an MRP of ₹40,999 for the 256GB model. That is a separate price snapshot, not a guarantee of the price available to every buyer. Battery life: POCO has more capacity, but no matched endurance test
91mobiles lists the POCO X8 Power with a 10,000mAh silicon-carbon battery and 100W charging, compared with 8,000mAh and 80W for the Nord CE6. OnePlus India independently confirms the Nord CE6’s 8,000mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging. Both phones are listed as supporting reverse charging and bypass charging.
The larger POCO battery gives it the capacity advantage on paper, but the figures do not establish how many hours either phone lasts in comparable real-world use. OnePlus says its battery will retain more than 80% capacity after six years of charging cycles based on a typical pattern of charging once every 1.4 days. That is a manufacturer claim tied to that usage condition, not an independently verified result (OnePlus India product page).

Performance and gaming: the Nord CE6 has the listed chipset advantage
91mobiles identifies the Nord CE6’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 as stronger than the POCO X8 Power’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5, and favors OnePlus for demanding apps and games. This is a comparison based on the listed processors, not a direct test of sustained gaming, heat or frame rates across both phones. OnePlus’s high-frame-rate gaming claims also depend on supported games and settings.
Display: pick between POCO’s video formats and OnePlus’s 144Hz
Both phones are listed with 1.5K AMOLED displays. The POCO panel is 6.83 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate; the Nord CE6 is 6.78 inches and reaches 144Hz. The comparison lists Dolby Vision and HDR10 support for POCO, while OnePlus is listed with HDR10. So POCO has the stronger stated video-format feature set, while OnePlus offers the higher refresh rate. These specifications alone do not determine brightness or visibility in every environment.

Cameras: POCO offers an ultra-wide; OnePlus lists 4K capture
The POCO’s listed 50MP main camera and 8MP ultra-wide provide a wider choice of framing than the Nord CE6’s listed 50MP main camera and 2MP depth sensor. That makes POCO more flexible for landscapes, interiors and group shots. It does not prove that POCO takes better photos: the comparison does not establish a camera-quality winner from hardware specifications.
OnePlus advertises 50MP rear and 32MP front cameras, plus 4K video capture on its product page. Those specifications may matter if you record video or take selfies, but they do not resolve which phone produces better footage or images in matched conditions (OnePlus India product page).

Build, durability and handling
91mobiles lists polycarbonate frames and backs, plus IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings, for both phones. It reports Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and SGS/TÜV certifications for POCO, and Crystal Guard glass and MIL-STD-810H certification for OnePlus. The Nord CE6 is the easier of the two to carry by the listed dimensions: it weighs 215g and is 8.5mm thick, versus 229g and 8.65mm for the POCO.
An IP rating is not permission to deliberately immerse a phone or expose it to saltwater. OnePlus says its water resistance applies under normal conditions and to fresh water only, may diminish over time, and does not cover water damage when its stated conditions are not followed (OnePlus India product page).
Software and update support
91mobiles lists Android 16 with HyperOS 3 on the POCO and Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 on the Nord CE6. Its comparison reports four major Android upgrades and six years of security updates for POCO, versus two major Android upgrades and four years of security updates for OnePlus. These are comparison-reported support figures; confirm POCO’s current policy with the manufacturer before buying. OnePlus’s “smooth for 6 years” wording refers to a smoothness claim, not six years of Android version upgrades (OnePlus India product page).
