| Game | Reported US price | What to expect | Steam Deck status in cited roundup |
|---|---|---|---|

| TOEM | $1.99 | Gentle photography-focused adventure with exploration and puzzles. | Not stated (Gaming On Steam roundup) |
| Watch Dogs 2 | $2.49 | Open-world game. | Unsupported |
| Mad Max | $2.99 | Recommended as a low-cost pick; further gameplay detail is not stated in the cited roundup. | Verified |
| Chorus | Under $3; exact price not stated (Rogue) | Space-combat shooter with aircraft challenges; Rogue considers its plot less compelling. | Not stated in cited sources |
Ori and the Will of the Wisps — $2.99 reported
GamesRadar describes this as a 2D platforming adventure with puzzles in Niwen, and its review called it a “gorgeous, tear-jerking platformer.” The roundup praises its art and gameplay while noting that the final level is weaker. At this reported price, it is the pick for players seeking a polished, visually expressive platform adventure.
TOEM — $1.99 reported
GamesRadar describes TOEM as a cozy adventure built around taking photographs, exploring, solving puzzles and unlocking picture-taking features. It praises the hand-drawn art, characters and landscapes, while describing the game as short. Choose it for a gentler, low-pressure experience rather than a long campaign.

Watch Dogs 2 — $2.49 reported
Gaming On Steam recommends Watch Dogs 2 as an open-world bargain, but warns that Valve lists it as Unsupported on Steam Deck. That label matters if you plan to play on the handheld; do not assume the low price also means a compatible portable experience.
Mad Max — $2.99 reported
Gaming On Steam recommends Mad Max and reports Steam Deck Verified status, making it the clearest handheld-oriented option among the five for buyers who rely on that compatibility label. The cited roundup does not provide enough detail to characterize its story or mechanics further.

Chorus — reported under $3

When the 2026 Steam Autumn Sale runs
Valve’s official Steamworks event page states: “This year’s Steam Autumn Sale runs October 1 – 8, 2026 at 10am Pacific.” Steamworks documentation says seasonal sales reshape the storefront around the event, feature selected games in different areas and refresh front-page options regularly during the sale. That means the featured selection can move around; use Steam search or the store page for a specific game rather than relying only on a front-page placement.

Check price and compatibility before buying
- Verify the live price. The figures above are reported US-dollar prices and are time-sensitive. Regional pricing may differ, and prices can change after the sale.
- Check the listing for your account’s region. A reported US price does not guarantee the same price in another country.
- Use the Steam Deck label only where established. The cited roundup identifies Watch Dogs 2 as Unsupported and Mad Max as Verified; compatibility for the other three games is not established by these sources.
- Filter the broad catalog to your taste. PC Gamer reports that SteamDB showed 44,048 games priced below $5 in 2026—not below $3. PC Gamer recommends narrowing Steam’s large selection by genre, features, release date, user rating and review count.
This is a shortlist based on sale-roundup recommendations, not a formally tested ranking. The cited sources do not establish that all five prices remain live throughout the event or apply in every region.
