There is no verified evidence here that any five projector screens currently lead Amazon’s bestseller ranking. Rather than label products best sellers without current marketplace data, this guide compares three useful examples by installation type and material compatibility: a fixed-frame Silver Ticket STR Series, Elite Screens’ portable Yard Master 2, and the company’s CineGrey 5D ambient-light-rejecting material. Check Amazon’s live listings for the exact variant, seller, price, and availability before buying.
Start with the room and installation
Choose a screen for how you use the room, not just its advertised gain or a bestseller badge. A fixed frame suits a dedicated viewing area; a retractable screen can be put away in a shared room; and a portable screen is designed to be assembled when needed. Elite Screens lists manual, electric, portable, outdoor, and ALR/CLR screen families on its official site.
- Dedicated room: Consider a fixed-frame screen if you can leave it installed.
- Shared room: Look at a manual or electric retractable model when you need the wall or ceiling space for other uses.
- Temporary or outdoor viewing: A portable model can be packed away, but outdoor use has setup and weather limits.
- Room with ambient light: Consider an ALR or CLR material only after checking that its specified projector type and light geometry match your setup.
For any specific model, verify its available sizes and aspect ratios on the live product page, then compare them with your projector’s image and the available wall or installation space.

These are examples for matching a screen type to a room, not a ranked list of current Amazon listings. An independent 2026 roundup also names several Elite Screens products, but editorial selections do not establish marketplace sales rank or listing status. See the roundup.

Check projector compatibility before choosing ALR
“ALR” is not a guarantee that a screen will work well with every projector or room. For CineGrey 5D, Elite Screens specifies a minimum lens throw ratio of 1.5 and says the material is not compatible with ultra-short-throw (UST) or short-throw projectors. Its installation guidance also says ambient light must not come from the projector’s direction. These are requirements for this particular material; do not apply them automatically to other ALR or CLR screens.
Before ordering an ALR screen, check the manufacturer’s instructions for the exact material and confirm the projector’s throw ratio and placement. If you have a UST projector, do not select CineGrey 5D; look for a screen whose manufacturer explicitly confirms UST compatibility.

Understand the Yard Master 2’s outdoor limits
The Yard Master 2 is a portable option, but it is not intended to stay outdoors in any weather. Its user guide limits use to light breezes up to 7 mph and recommends disassembling and storing the screen after use. Follow the guide’s assembly and storage directions, and do not treat the 7 mph figure as a general wind rating for other portable screens. Read the Yard Master 2 user guide.
