For a mix of chocolate, crunch, fruit, and frozen desserts, Tasting Table writer Carmen Varner ranks Häagen-Dazs Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Ice Cream Bars first among five chocolate-covered Costco treats, followed by Tru Fru frozen strawberries, Kirkland Caramel S’mores Clusters, Hershey’s Almond Caramel Clusters, and Kirkland Chocolate Almonds. The list reflects Varner’s personal tasting impressions, not a controlled product test.
How the ranking was made
In her October 3, 2026 article, Carmen Varner says: “I ultimately judged them by overall taste, quality, and texture, as I was looking for something that was most captivating and easy to eat.” The order below follows her tasting-based ranking; it is not a claim that every shopper will prefer the same flavors or textures. 5. Kirkland Signature Chocolate Almonds
These are roasted almonds coated in milk chocolate—a familiar combination rather than an especially surprising one, in Varner’s view. She ranks them fifth because the pairing feels comparatively plain beside the other treats. The 48-ounce bag is worth considering before buying: it is a substantial quantity if your household is not sure it will finish a large pack. Costco’s listing also identifies its 48-ounce product as roasted almonds covered in milk chocolate. Check Costco’s same-day listing; local availability can vary.

Varner puts these above the plain chocolate almonds for their combination of crunchy almonds, honeyed caramel, and milk chocolate. That gives them more flavor and texture, though she does not find them the most distinctive or highest-quality chocolate option in the group. They may be a better fit when you want a sweet pantry snack to share than when you are seeking an unusual chocolate treat. These are Varner’s taste judgments, not a product-quality rating from a controlled comparison.

3. Kirkland Signature Caramel S’mores Clusters
Chocolate, caramel, marshmallow, and graham cracker make these the most overtly s’mores-like snack in the ranking. Varner likes the graham flavor and crunch, but describes the combination as very sweet and the caramel as gooey and sticky; one piece may be enough to satisfy a craving. Costco’s same-day listing identifies a 26.3-ounce resealable bag and recommends cool, dry storage. Check the Costco listing for current local details.
2. Tru Fru Milk and White Chocolate Frozen Strawberries
Varner describes a 24-ounce frozen product with strawberries coated in milk and white chocolate. The fruit center brings sweetness, while the frozen texture gives each bite an icy quality. She notes that the pieces vary in size and can fragment when bitten, so a plate or napkin may be handy. 1. Häagen-Dazs Dubai Style Chocolate Mini Ice Cream Bars
Varner’s top pick layers a chocolate coating with toasted kataifi crunch and pistachio ice cream. She describes the bars as rich but satisfying in their small format, and says the box contains 20. The first-place ranking reflects her enthusiasm for that mix of crisp texture, chocolate, and pistachio; her comments about family approval are personal observations.
