Four useful first-week prints can tame loose cables, create a place for keys or a light bag, and replace a small broken blind part: a baseboard cable clip, an under-desk cable clip, a removable-strip hook, and a blind repair clip or cord guide. Treat them as starting points, not guaranteed fits: check dimensions, surfaces, and mounting requirements before printing or installing.

There is no consistent evidence for comparing these ideas by print time, material use, cost, or durability. Model pages describe their designs; they do not establish that a part will fit every apartment or perform reliably in every installation.
Route a cable along the baseboard
A baseboard cable clip can keep a lamp or charger cord near the edge of a room without attaching a clip to the wall. One MakerWorld model offers different clip sizes and suggests measuring the cable or printing a size to test its fit.

Some apartments lack that gap. Do not force the clip into place if it will press against or damage the trim.

Tidy charging leads under a desk
An under-desk cable clip can keep charging cables close to a desk or bedside table once the furniture is in position. The MakerWorld listing includes versions for different thicknesses and options for screw or double-sided-tape attachment.
Measure the desk edge, then choose the matching clip version and a mounting method suited to the surface and your lease. The listing describes a profile that fits 12 pieces on one print plate; that is a design-specific detail, not a general print-time or cost estimate.

Add a no-drill hook for keys or a light bag
A removable-strip hook can create a small hanging point without a screw. The Thangs model is designed around hook-and-loop adhesive strips and specifies an opening 20 mm wide, 66 mm tall, and 5 mm deep. Check the strip dimensions rather than assuming any adhesive strip will fit.
Keep the hook to a light load and follow the adhesive product’s directions for the surface and installation. Neither the model listing nor the available evidence establishes an independent load test, so do not treat it as suitable for heavy items. The listing also says the model is not eligible for resale.

Replace a small broken blind part
If a blind has a broken clip or cord guide, printing a replacement for that exact component may be more useful than trying to adapt a generic part. Sovol’s renter-focused guide names slat clips, cord guides, and chain-tensioner covers as possible prints.
Compare the broken piece with an intact matching part and measure its dimensions before choosing or adapting a model. A generic label such as “blind repair clip” or “blind cord guide” does not establish compatibility across brands and systems.

Choose material and mounting with the room in mind
Sovol says PLA suits many indoor parts, but may soften faster in direct sun behind glass. Its guide suggests considering PETG, ASA, or ABS for safety-relevant or load-bearing parts in hot conditions, and describes PETG as an easier step up for hot weather and sunny windows. These are general manufacturer recommendations, not tests of the four specific models or guarantees of performance.

Adhesive, a tight fit, or a repair can still affect a surface or existing fixture. For rental walls, check your agreement and the mounting product’s instructions. A Fixless renter guide describes peel-and-stick and tension-mounted alternatives and notes that weight capacity varies by product listing; use the specific product’s stated capacity rather than assuming all no-drill mounts are alike.
