What’s new on Paramount+ this weekend?
Paramount+’s official October 2026 schedule lists all three films as arriving Oct. 1. That makes them new options for the Oct. 2–4 weekend, based on the U.S. schedule published Sept. 24, 2026. The service cautions that some listed titles may require Premium and that library dates can change; it does not specify the plan eligibility of these individual films.

Which movie should you watch?
Parasite (2019): for an acclaimed, socially layered drama
In Parasite, Kim Ki-woo begins tutoring the daughter of a wealthy family, creating an opening for the struggling Kim family to plan their way into the household’s employment. The story’s class tensions make it a strong pick if you want a drama with more to discuss than its setup suggests.
The Academy’s official record confirms that Parasite won Best Picture at the 92nd Academy Awards in 2020, which honored films released in 2019. The award-winning drama is the weekend’s prestige pick.

Troy (2004): for a sweeping mythic war epic
Based on Homer’s Iliad, Troy brings the Trojan War to the screen as a large-scale epic. Its cast includes Brad Pitt, Eric Bana, Orlando Bloom, Diane Kruger, and Brendan Gleeson. Choose it for a story of ancient conflict and star-led spectacle.
It Follows (2015): for slow-burn supernatural horror
Maika Monroe plays Jay, who is stalked by a supernatural entity capable of taking the form of anyone. Its premise makes It Follows the horror option of the three, especially for a spooky-season watch.
