iPhoneの標準「メール」アプリにアカウントを追加するには、「設定」から「アプリ」＞「メール」＞「メールアカウント」＞「アカウントを追加」の順に進みます。主要なメールサービスは自動設定できる場合が多く、手動設定が必要なら受信・送信サーバー情報や認証方法をメール提供元に確認してください。受信できない、送信できない、iCloudメールだけが使えない場合は、アカウントを削除する前に、以下の手順で原因を切り分けましょう。
iPhoneメール設定：アカウントを追加する手順
iOS 26のiPhoneでは、Appleのユーザガイドに記載された次の経路からメールアカウントを追加できます。AppleのiPhoneユーザガイド
- 「設定」を開き、「アプリ」＞「メール」＞「メールアカウント」＞「アカウントを追加」をタップします。
- 画面に表示されたメール提供元を選び、メールアドレスやパスワードなどを入力して、画面の案内に従います。
- 提供元が一覧にない場合は、「その他のアカウントを追加」＞「メールアカウント」を選び、アカウント情報を入力します。
自動設定できないときは手動設定
iCloud、Google、Microsoft Exchange、Yahooなどの一般的なサービスは、メールアドレスとパスワードを使って自動設定できることがあります。設定時にサーバーを検出できない場合は、IMAPまたはPOPを選び、受信メールサーバーと送信メールサーバーの情報を入力します。サーバー名、ポート、認証方式などは提供元によって異なるため、値が分からない場合はメール提供元に確認してください。Appleも、手動設定に必要な情報は提供元に問い合わせるよう案内しています。Appleのアカウント追加手順
IMAPとPOPのどちらを選ぶべきかは一律には決められません。メール提供元の指定に従ってください。iCloudメールについては、Appleの他社製メールアプリ向け案内でIMAPとSMTPを使用し、POPには対応しないと説明されています。この情報は他のメールアプリ用のサーバー設定であり、iPhoneのメールアプリで利用できるiCloudの通常の追加手順を置き換えるものではありません。iCloudメールのサーバー設定（他社製メールアプリ向け）

メールを受信できないときの確認順
- インターネット接続とサービス状況を確認する。 Wi-Fiまたはモバイル通信でウェブサイトを開けるか試します。メール提供元で障害が起きていないかも確認してください。
- アドレスとパスワードを確かめる。 メール提供元のウェブサイトにサインインします。そこで認証できない場合は、提供元または勤務先などのシステム管理者に相談してください。
- 取得方法と通知を確認する。 「設定」＞「アプリ」＞「メール」＞「メールアカウント」＞「データの取得方法」を開き、利用中のアカウントの設定を確認します。Pushを使えるかどうかはメールサービスによって異なり、Pushが利用できないアカウントはFetch（データの取得）を使います。iOS 11以降で「自動」が選ばれている場合、Appleの案内では、バックグラウンドでの取得はiPhoneが充電中でWi-Fiに接続されているときに行われます。メール自体は届いているのに通知が出ない場合は、通知の通知スタイル、サウンド、バッジも別に確認してください。
- セキュリティ要件とサーバー情報を確認する。 2ファクタ認証などのセキュリティ設定によって、専用パスワードや追加の認証が必要な場合があります。メール提供元または管理者に、必要な認証方法とサーバー設定を確認してください。
Appleの受信トラブルシューティングでは、アカウント設定を削除・変更すると、端末にダウンロード済みのメールが削除される場合があると注意しています。削除して再追加する前に、メールがウェブメールや別の端末で見られることを確認してください。iCloudまたはiTunesのバックアップに含まれるのはメール設定であり、メール本文そのものではありません。Appleの受信トラブルシューティング
メールを送信できないときの確認順
- 送信ボックスを確認する。 メールアプリの「送信ボックス」に該当のメッセージが残っていないか確認します。残っている場合は、宛先の入力ミスがないか見直してから再送します。
- 接続と提供元の状態を確認する。 インターネット接続を確認し、メールサービスに障害がないか調べます。
- 認証情報とセキュリティ要件を確かめる。 提供元のウェブサイトにサインインして認証情報を確認します。専用パスワードや追加認証が必要かどうかも、提供元または管理者に問い合わせてください。
- サーバー設定を提供元と照合する。 送信メールサーバーの情報を確認します。手動で登録した値が不明、または設定が正しいか判断できない場合は、提供元の案内を優先してください。

iCloudメールだけ送受信できない場合
- iCloudメールを有効にする。 「設定」＞「［自分の名前］」＞「iCloud」＞「メール」を開き、「このiPhoneで使用」がオンになっているか確認します。
- 接続とサービス状況を調べる。 インターネットに接続できるか、Appleのシステム状況でiCloudメールに問題がないかを確認します。
- 容量とメールボックスの状態を確認する。 iCloudストレージに空きがあるか、メールボックスやメッセージに関する制限に達していないか確認します。
- ソフトウェアとVPNを確認する。 iPhoneのソフトウェアが最新かを確認し、VPNを使っている場合はその設定が接続に影響していないか調べます。
- ウェブ版と端末を確認する。 iCloud.com/mailにサインインしてメールにアクセスできるか試します。AppleはiPhoneの再起動も案内しています。
- メール取得のタイミングを調べる。 メールの到着が遅れる場合は、「設定」＞「アプリ」＞「メール」＞「メールアカウント」＞「データの取得方法」で、Pushの利用可否とアカウントのFetch設定を確認します。

アカウントを削除する前に確認すること
- ウェブメールまたは別の端末で、必要なメールが確認できること。
- 手動設定に必要な受信・送信サーバー情報を、メール提供元から入手できること。
- 削除や設定変更によって、端末にダウンロード済みのメールが消える可能性を理解していること。
上記を確認しても設定できない場合、サーバー情報、認証方式、アカウント側の制限を確認できるメール提供元またはシステム管理者に問い合わせてください。
