There is evidence for a directory of 12 Squarespace law-firm website examples, not 19 independently verified live sites. Rather than pad the list with templates or unconfirmed websites, this guide explains how to assess those examples and how to choose a Squarespace design for a law practice. A template is a starting point—not proof that a firm site performs well or meets its jurisdiction’s professional rules.
What to look for in a lawyer website example
A useful example makes it easy for a prospective client to understand what the firm handles, who will handle the matter, and how to make contact. When reviewing the 12 examples listed by Create Today Digital, assess each live site against the same practical criteria rather than treating the directory’s selection as a performance ranking.
- Practice-area clarity: Can visitors quickly identify the services offered and find details relevant to their matter?
- Visible credentials: Are attorney or team profiles easy to locate, with useful background and qualifications?
- Contact path: Is there a clear way to call, send an inquiry, or request an appointment?
- Fit for the practice: Does the tone and visual presentation suit the clients and work the firm serves?
The directory reports 12 examples and was updated August 9, 2026. Check that an individual site is still live and built on Squarespace before using it as a platform-specific reference.

Squarespace describes its law-firm layouts as customizable and says they can support practice-area pages, attorney biographies, service menus, testimonials, contact forms, appointment scheduling, and secure client inquiries. It also describes its layouts as mobile-responsive and says the platform includes SEO and analytics. These are Squarespace’s product descriptions, not independent findings about site speed, search rankings, lead generation, security outcomes, or legal compliance.
#1 Best Overall
The platform names family law, real estate, business, criminal defense, and estate planning among the practice areas its designs can accommodate. A firm should still organize the site around its own services and the questions prospective clients actually need answered.
Corrigan: a legal-services template, not a verified firm website
Squarespace identifies Corrigan as a template designed for legal services. Its professional-services article describes a structured layout with practice areas, attorney bios, and contact options. Squarespace says an individual attorney can use it to foreground a personal brand and credentials, while a small firm can use team and services sections to show a broader practice.
Rank #2
Corrigan is a template reference; its existence does not establish that a particular lawyer or firm website uses it. Squarespace also states, “Every design is fully customizable.” Treat that as the company’s description of its product, and evaluate the resulting pages against the firm’s content and needs.

Keep purchasable designs separate from live website examples: buying a template gives a firm a design to customize, not a finished, verified law-firm website. Squarespace’s official materials name Corrigan; a third-party roundup by Websites by Elise lists other template products, including Legal Edge, Elevate, Legal Eagle, Lawyer, Lora, Modern Wave, North, and Docket.

Websites by Elise discloses affiliate links, so its choices are a commercial roundup rather than independent testing or a neutral ranking. Names and availability can change. Compare candidate designs by the work they will require, not just by their sales-page labels.
- Page structure: Does the design accommodate the pages the firm needs, such as About, Practice Areas, Our Team, News or Blog, Contact, and FAQ?
- Content fit: Can the firm explain its services and credentials clearly in the available layouts, without forcing its content into an unsuitable design?
- Customization: Can the firm make the necessary changes to navigation, page layout, imagery, and visual identity?
- Ongoing upkeep: Can someone at the firm maintain contact details, attorney profiles, and any published articles?
Plan pages and check local professional rules
Plan the content before choosing a builder or template. An Illinois State Bar Association-hosted guide by Morgan Germann and Jeffrey Schoenberger of Affinity Consulting Group identifies About, Practice Areas, Our Team, News or Blog, Contact, and FAQ as useful page types. It also cautions that stale blog content can hurt recruitment and that generated legal content should be reviewed carefully.
Rank #4

Rules for attorney advertising, testimonials, and disclaimers vary by state and are periodically updated. The guide points lawyers to their state bar as the authoritative source. Check the rules that apply to the firm’s jurisdiction rather than assuming a template or a general checklist makes the site compliant.
