What Steam Deck Verified means
Valve describes Verified games as ones that “work great on Steam Deck, right out of the box.” The label signals that a game meets Valve’s compatibility criteria for a smooth Deck experience. By contrast, Valve says Playable games may need manual adjustments, such as choosing a community controller layout or using the touchscreen to operate a launcher. Valve’s Steamworks event documentation gives the sale window as October 1–8, 2026, ending at 10 AM Pacific. That means the listed offers should be treated as time-sensitive rather than guaranteed beyond the stated deadline.
