I can’t give a weeks-long personal-use verdict without firsthand testing notes. What can be assessed is the ZenoWell Vita itself: it is an ear-worn stimulation device whose manufacturer describes 20-minute sessions for sleep and relaxation, but evidence about vagus nerve stimulation as a technique does not establish that this particular model produces those outcomes.

ZenoWell markets Vita as a non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation device worn in the left ear. The Vita product page describes Sleep and Relax modes, along with a meditation-oriented mode, and a 20-minute session. The available product information does not establish that the exact Vita model has been shown in a product-specific clinical trial to improve sleep, relaxation, or another health outcome. Regulatory status also needs to be stated precisely. FDA pages explain the agency’s device approval and clearance pathways and provide information about PMA clinical studies; they do not show a specific FDA authorization for ZenoWell Vita. - Moisten the electrode with gel or water, as directed.
- Place the earpiece in the left ear only.
- Select a mode and begin at a comfortable intensity that is noticeable but not painful.
- Adjust the fit, contact, or moisture if the sensation is poor or uncomfortable; stop or reduce intensity if there is pain.
The manufacturer notes that electrode contact, the amount of gel, and ear cleanliness can affect sensation. It also says, “Higher intensity doesn’t mean better results.” Treat that as operating guidance from ZenoWell, not proof that any intensity produces a particular health outcome. ZenoWell FAQ.
Is the ZenoWell vagus nerve stimulator safe?
The manufacturer lists several groups who should not use the device, including people with a history of epilepsy; a pacemaker, ICD, or other life-sustaining implanted medical device; pregnancy; sensitive or abnormal skin; severe heart disease; or high risk of cardiac arrhythmias. It also says not to use the device under age 18 or when a person cannot communicate discomfort. These are the manufacturer’s listed restrictions, not a substitute for individualized medical advice. ZenoWell’s FAQ additionally advises using the earpiece only in the left ear, not connecting it to another stimulator, and avoiding placements that create a current path across the head or heart. It warns against use while bathing, showering, or swimming, and in high-temperature, flammable, or strong electromagnetic-interference environments. A useful weeks-long review would need documented experience with the exact Vita version, including fit, setup, routine, comfort, and any observed effects. Product descriptions and studies of taVNS cannot supply those personal findings. Without that firsthand record, the sound conclusion is narrower: Vita is a left-ear stimulation product with manufacturer-defined use and safety instructions, while the cited material does not establish that the exact model delivers a specific sleep or relaxation benefit.
