A blue screen every two days is a recurring symptom, not a diagnosis. On an HP ZBook Fury 16 G10, the cause could be hardware, a device driver, or software; the interval alone cannot identify which. Start by recording the exact stop code and any named module, then use that evidence to guide checks of recent changes, Windows, drivers, firmware, and hardware.
What to record at the next blue screen
Write down the complete stop code and any driver or module name shown on screen. Also note the date, what the laptop was doing, and whether anything had recently changed. A crash that occurs during the same workload, after sleep or resume, while docked, or after an update gives you a useful pattern to investigate; none of those patterns proves a particular component is faulty.
- Does the same stop code recur, or do the codes change?
- Is a module or driver named, or is there no name?
- Did the crashes begin after a Windows, driver, BIOS, application, or hardware change?
- Does the laptop crash during normal startup, in Safe Mode, or in both?
Microsoft describes unexpected restarts as potentially caused by a hardware device, its driver, or software. Its Windows stop-code guidance recommends noting the error and, for deeper analysis, configuring memory dumps. A dump can help an experienced technician investigate a crash, but it is not itself a diagnosis.
Start with recent changes and basic Windows checks
- Review changes made shortly before the first crash. If you added hardware or installed a driver or application, consider whether the timing matches the first stop error. Remove newly added hardware only when it is safe to do so, and avoid uninstalling drivers indiscriminately.
- Use Safe Mode if startup is unstable. Safe Mode can help you check whether the problem continues with a limited set of drivers and services. If Windows is difficult to start, follow Microsoft’s Windows recovery guidance to reach its startup options.
- Check Windows Update. Open Settings > Windows Update, check for updates, and install applicable updates. Record what was installed if the crashes began around an update; timing is evidence to investigate, not proof that the update caused the problem.
- Inspect Device Manager. Search Windows for Device Manager and look for devices marked with a warning. For a suspect device, Microsoft recommends considering an update, disabling it, or uninstalling it as appropriate. Make one targeted change at a time so you can tell whether it affects the crashes.
- Check free disk space. Microsoft says the suitable amount varies by configuration and gives 10% to 15% free space as a general target. Treat that as guidance, not a guaranteed fix.
Match drivers and firmware to this exact ZBook
Use HP support for the exact product number and Windows version, rather than assuming every Fury 16 G10 has the same configuration. Before installing a package, confirm that it applies to your device and Windows build, and note the current BIOS and driver versions. Avoid treating an older release note as a recommendation to install that package now.

What HP’s documented blue-screen fix does—and does not—show
HP’s BIOS and System Firmware release notes for SoftPaq sp150204, version 01.03.01, effective December 5, 2023, list the ZBook Fury 16 G10 as supported. They describe a fix for a blue screen after Windows Update when the system displays the specific message “Unsupported Processor.” This is relevant if that exact message appeared on your laptop. It does not establish the cause of other stop errors or show that this 2023 package is the latest BIOS.
HP’s Windows 11 driver-pack information
HP’s ZBook Fury G10 MWS Windows 11 Driver Pack, SoftPaq sp158222, version 5.00, effective December 1, 2025, lists the Fury 16 G10 and Windows 11 versions 22H2, 23H2, 24H2, and 25H2. The package includes categories such as Intel storage, chipset, graphics, networking, and Thunderbolt drivers. That listing does not establish that the pack is the latest available for your configuration. Check HP support for current availability and exact applicability before installing it.

Use crash dumps and hardware tests to narrow the possibilities
If the basic checks do not explain the crashes, preserve the stop-code details and crash dumps for a technician or advanced analysis. Microsoft Learn recommends examining bug checks and dumps and checking applicable BIOS, firmware, hardware, and memory. Event logs may also help establish when a failure occurred. Do not infer a failed component from a stop code alone; interpret the evidence as a whole.

The reviewed page does not specify a publication year. These are broad figures from Microsoft’s analysis, not probabilities for this ZBook or an estimate of the cause of an individual crash.

When to contact HP or a technician
Escalate if the crashes continue after targeted checks, if a built-in memory or hardware test fails, or if the laptop becomes difficult to use reliably. Give HP or a qualified technician:
- The exact model and product number, plus the Windows version and build.
- Each stop code and any named module, with dates and what was happening before the crash.
- Recent hardware, software, driver, Windows, or BIOS changes.
- Current BIOS and relevant driver versions, along with available crash dumps.
- Results from any memory or other built-in hardware tests.
HP’s model support page lists setup and user guides. Its Maintenance and Service Guide search listing refers to common blue-screen messages and Windows bug-check guidance; use HP’s support materials for your exact device rather than relying on a partial description of the guide. A repair or warranty decision should follow diagnostic results, not the two-day pattern alone.
