Ye (Kanye West) will not perform at the two concerts scheduled for October 10 and 11, 2026, in St Petersburg. Organiser Say Agency announced on September 30 that the shows would not take place on those dates. It did not give a reason, but said ticket holders would be reimbursed, with refund details to follow.
What was cancelled?
The planned concerts were at Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg, Russia. Reports said both shows had sold out. Say Agency, a Moscow-based event organiser, confirmed that neither would go ahead on its scheduled date; the announcement was about these St Petersburg dates, not a general decision about Ye’s future performances.
In a Telegram statement quoted by The Guardian, Say Agency said: “Friends, it is with sincere regret that we inform you that the Ye concerts in St Petersburg on the scheduled dates will not be able to take place.” The organiser said a fuller official statement would follow.

Why were the concerts cancelled?
Say Agency’s September 30 notice did not state a reason. The venue dispute and public criticism of Ye are both documented, but the organiser did not identify either as the cause of its decision.

Gazprom Arena said it had no rental agreement
In August, Gazprom Arena said it had not signed a rental agreement for the event and that the concert could not take place at the stadium. It also said it was not the organiser. The venue’s position was reported by The Guardian. Say Agency disputed the implication that the shows were cancelled at that point and said they remained planned. Its later September 30 announcement confirmed they would not happen on the scheduled dates.
The Guardian and The Daily Beast quoted the venue as saying: “Gazprom arena was not, and is not, the organiser of this event.”

Political criticism was reported, but not given as the cause
Russia’s foreign ministry spokesperson, Maria Zakharova, had called the planned concerts unacceptable over what she described as Ye’s glorification of Hitler. Coverage also noted backlash over Ye’s antisemitic statements and Nazi imagery. These reports provide context, not an explanation from Say Agency for the cancellation.

Say Agency said ticket holders would be reimbursed, but the reports available as of October 3, 2026, did not include the refund rules, conditions, or process. Follow the organiser’s official channels and the ticket seller’s communications for the promised instructions. Do not assume a specific refund deadline or method until those details are announced.

At publication, the reviewed reports had not established whether Ye would comment or when Say Agency would issue its fuller statement.
