Yac is positioned as an asynchronous voice collaboration tool for remote teams. Product Hunt’s listed alternatives cover several different needs: Async is the closest voice-first match, Loom and Weet focus on video, Campsite describes a broader collaboration workspace, and Tandem offers a virtual-office model. Yac’s homepage currently says a “NEW Yac” is coming soon, without confirming a launch date, pricing, platforms, or migration options, so verify those details before choosing a replacement.
What is Yac?
Yac describes itself as an asynchronous voice collaboration platform for remote teams. Its features page describes voice messages, discussions, transcriptions, shareable links, screen sharing, private teams, and voice memos. The homepage promotes asynchronous meetings for product teams and recording voice or screen updates.
The distinction that matters when comparing alternatives is communication format: Yac’s core position is voice-first and asynchronous, rather than a conventional live meeting or a video-only recording workflow. Its company tagline, “Stop spending your whole day on calls,” is a positioning statement, not independent evidence of a measured productivity result.
Yac alternatives named by Product Hunt
Product Hunt’s Yac alternatives page surfaces products with different collaboration models. Its short descriptions are useful for making an initial shortlist, but do not establish current feature parity, pricing, availability, or migration effort.

How to choose among the alternatives
Start with the communication format
- Voice messages: Async is the closest named fit to Yac’s voice-first use case.
- Video or screen recordings: Loom is presented around recording and sharing video; Weet is presented around asynchronous video communication.
- A wider collaboration workspace: Campsite’s description includes posts, calls, documents, and chat.
- A virtual office: Tandem’s described model is distinct from a voice-message-first tool.
Check the workflow, not just the category
Before switching, list the actions your team actually relies on: sending voice updates, organizing discussions, sharing transcripts or links, recording screens, and keeping work private to a team. Yac’s official feature page describes these capabilities, but the alternatives’ Product Hunt summaries do not confirm whether each one supports them. Check each candidate’s current product documentation and test the specific workflow your team needs.
Verify current product details before committing
Yac’s homepage announces a “NEW Yac” as coming soon and invites visitors to join a waitlist; it does not state whether the new version has launched or provide current pricing, supported platforms, or migration options. Product Hunt’s listings also do not establish current prices, platform support, or feature parity for the alternatives. Confirm those details directly with each product before making a purchase or planning a migration.
