These figures do not establish which asset could earn more. The XRP calculation is a scenario based on an article-stated price; the AlphaPepe figure is a token count based on a project presale price, not a forecast or a verified public-market quote. No cited source supports a prediction that XRP will reach $3 or that ALPE will outperform it.
What the $1,000 comparison calculates
The October 3, 2026 TechBullion article supplies the prices used here. The calculations below apply those inputs directly; they are not independently verified market quotes. They exclude transaction fees, taxes, slippage, and any costs or limits involved in selling.
| Illustration | Price input and basis | What $1,000 would buy | What the calculation shows |
|---|---|---|---|
| XRP at a hypothetical recovery to $3 | About $1.50 per XRP, an assumption in the TechBullion article—not a verified quote | About 666.67 XRP | About $2,000 if that quantity could be sold at $3 per XRP |
| AlphaPepe (ALPE) presale | $0.03205 per ALPE, the presale price stated in the TechBullion article | About 31,201 ALPE | A token count only; the calculation does not establish a future value or a price at which tokens could be sold |
Why the two figures are not like-for-like
XRP has public-market history
XRP is a publicly traded digital asset with an observable trading history. A quoted XRP price should still be tied to a venue and timestamp: prices can vary by exchange and change over time. The $1.50 input above is the article’s assumption, not a current quote verified here.
ALPE’s presale price is not a verified exchange price
AlphaPepe’s official site presents ALPE as a presale token, provides wallet purchase instructions, and claims exchange arrangements. Those are project statements; they do not independently establish a completed listing, an active exchange venue, or a publicly observable market price. No live ALPE listing or independent public-market price was established for this comparison.
#1 Best Overall
A presale token count does not tell a buyer whether tokens can later be transferred or sold, how much liquidity will be available, or what price an actual sale would receive. AlphaPepe publishes tokenomics, but the figures and claims on the project site have not been independently audited here. A claimed future debut should not be treated as a completed listing.
What would need to be true for the XRP scenario
The XRP illustration assumes both the purchase price and the later sale price in the table. It does not assign a probability to the $3 scenario or show that XRP is likely to reach it. A buyer’s actual result would depend on execution prices, costs, timing, and whether the asset is sold.

Ripple describes XRP as the native token of the XRP Ledger, where it is used for transactions and as a bridge asset in the ledger’s decentralized exchange. Ripple is a company, distinct from XRP and the ledger; Ripple says it is one company using and contributing to the ecosystem. Those descriptions come from Ripple itself.

What XRP’s legal history does—and does not—say
An SEC-hosted Form 10-K summarizes the court’s August 7, 2024 final judgment and the subsequent appeal outcome. It says the court treated programmatic sales over digital-asset trading platforms differently from Ripple’s direct institutional sales: the judgment imposed a civil penalty and enjoined certain unregistered institutional sales, while finding that the programmatic sales at issue did not constitute unregistered securities sales. The filing says the parties dropped their appeals in August 2025, leaving those rulings intact.
That history is not accurately reduced to a blanket claim that every XRP transaction has the same legal treatment. The court’s findings concern particular sales and circumstances; they do not make a price target more reliable or remove the risks of owning a volatile asset.

- Verify the price and venue. For a traded asset, check a named exchange and the time of the quote. Treat a presale price as the project’s stated offer, not as an independently established market price.
- Check supply and distribution. Review total supply, allocations, vesting, and unlock terms in documentation you can verify. Project-published tokenomics are claims to assess, not independent confirmation.
- Confirm that you can exit. Check transfer rules, supported networks, exchange availability, liquidity, and any restrictions before buying. A promised listing does not guarantee a venue or a sale.
- Account for costs and custody. Network and transaction fees can affect the amount received. If using a hardware wallet, verify the specific model’s XRP and network support; a wallet can help with custody but cannot protect against market losses.
- Size for the downside. Crypto investments can lose some or all of their value. A larger number of low-priced tokens does not, by itself, imply a higher expected return.
Ripple also publishes company-reported XRP activity figures, including more than 4 billion transactions processed and more than $1.7 trillion in value moved since 2012, on its XRP overview. These are Ripple’s figures, not independent measurements or evidence of future investment performance.
