The XPPen Artist Pro 16 Drawing Display (Gen 2), model MD160QH, is a 16-inch pen display with a 2560 × 1600 screen and an X3 Pro stylus specified for 16,384 pressure levels. TechRadar reported on Oct. 1, 2026, that Newegg listed it for $370, down from $600, with a promotional $20 gift card. That was a reported offer, not a confirmed live price: check the selected model, seller, stock, shipping, and gift-card terms before buying.
What the reported Newegg deal was
TechRadar’s Oct. 1, 2026 deal report put the Artist Pro 16 Gen 2 at $370 at Newegg, compared with a stated $600 price. That is a $230 reduction, or just over 38%, before considering a separately mentioned $20 promotional gift card. TechRadar’s deal report is dated Oct. 1, 2026; it does not establish that the price, availability, seller, or gift-card eligibility remains the same now.
Newegg’s listing covers multiple Artist Pro models, so confirm the product selection says Artist Pro 16 Drawing Display (Gen 2), MD160QH rather than the older Artist Pro 16. The Newegg listing should also be checked for the current seller, total price, shipping, stock, and the promotion’s terms.

What the Artist Pro 16 Gen 2 is
The MD160QH is a pen display: you draw on its screen with a stylus while using a connected computer and your drawing software. It is not presented in the cited product information as a standalone tablet computer. The “Gen 2” distinction matters because XPPen also lists an older Artist Pro 16 with different specifications, including an 8,192-level stylus.

XPPen’s official Gen 2 product page specifies a 16-inch, 2560 × 1600 display, full lamination, and an X3 Pro stylus with 16,384 pressure levels. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent measurements.
Specifications that matter for drawing
| Feature | MD160QH specification | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Screen | 16 inches; 2560 × 1600 pixels | A high-resolution display for a mid-sized pen-display format, according to XPPen. |
| Active work area | 344.68 × 215.42 mm | The usable area for pen input; compare this with other displays at their actual screen size. |
| Stylus pressure | 16,384 levels | A vendor specification for the X3 Pro stylus. The number alone does not establish a perceptible or proportional improvement in finished artwork. |
| Tilt and activation | 60° tilt; 3 g initial activation force | Manufacturer-listed support and force figures; actual feel also depends on the pen, software, and user. |
| Typical brightness | 250 cd/m² | XPPen’s typical figure, not a separately measured result. |
| Typical color-gamut coverage | 99% sRGB; 97% Adobe RGB; 99% DCI-P3 | Coverage figures published by XPPen. When comparing displays, check whether figures describe gamut coverage or gamut area. |
| Screen construction | Full lamination | A manufacturer-stated design feature; compare the same type of claim across products rather than assuming identical real-world parallax. |
XPPen calls its stylus a “truly breakthrough innovation” and “industry-first” in its product-page description. Those are promotional claims from the manufacturer, not independent comparative findings. The useful, verifiable distinction here is the stated 16,384 pressure levels; it should not be read as proof that the pen will feel twice as responsive or produce better art than a stylus with a lower published figure.

What comes in the listed package
XPPen’s package listing includes the stylus, pen case, wireless shortcut remote, cables, adapter, drawing glove, cleaning cloth, and documentation. Confirm the contents for the exact retailer variant and bundle before checkout, particularly if the listing groups several Artist Pro models.
Is it worth buying?
It is a plausible choice for an artist who wants a roughly 16-inch screen to draw directly on, values a 2560 × 1600 resolution, and prefers having a shortcut remote and core accessories in the listed package. The reported $370 price would have made the hardware substantially cheaper than the $600 comparison price in TechRadar’s Oct. 1 report, but only a verified live listing can show whether that deal still applies.

It is less suitable if you need a device that works independently of a computer, or if you have not confirmed that its connections, operating-system support, drawing apps, desk setup, and display size fit your workflow. The available evidence does not establish a controlled comparison against Wacom, Huion, or other XPPen displays. TechRadar reported a 4.5-star assessment in its own review; that is TechRadar’s rating, not an independent test result for this article.
