The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W is unusually easy to carry: Xiaomi lists it at just 6mm thick and 98g. Its trade-off is limited output capacity and phone-dependent wireless speeds. It is most compelling as a slim backup for occasional top-ups—especially with a Xiaomi 17 Series phone—not as a high-capacity pack or a universal 15W wireless charger.
What makes it convenient for everyday use?
At Xiaomi’s stated 98.5 × 71.5 × 6mm and 98g, this pack is closer to a thin phone accessory than a typical bulky power bank. Those are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements. GSMArena describes an anodized-aluminum exterior with a soft-touch plastic underside.
Magnetic attachment keeps the pack aligned on a compatible phone or magnetic case, so you can use the phone while charging without holding a cable connection in place. Attachment depends on the phone, case material, magnet placement, and thickness; a magnetic back alone does not establish MagSafe or Qi2 certification. GSMArena says this model is neither MagSafe nor Qi certified, and Xiaomi’s cited pages do not claim Qi2 certification.

The 5,000mAh figure is Xiaomi’s typical cell capacity, measured at the cells’ original voltage—not the amount delivered at a phone’s 5V input. Xiaomi lists a rated output capacity of 3,000mAh at 5V/2A, reflecting energy lost during voltage conversion. The UAE specification also lists 18.95Wh typical cell energy and 18.58Wh rated energy, both at 3.79V.

That rated output is modest, so think of the pack as a top-up accessory rather than a dependable source of several full phone charges. The precise charge count depends on the phone and charging losses; Xiaomi’s FAQ says a universal full-charge count cannot be stated accurately.

The 15W wireless headline is therefore specific to Xiaomi 17 Series, not a general rate for every magnetic phone. Xiaomi’s global page says actual performance may vary with environmental conditions. iPhone series devices are listed at up to 7.5W; owners should not assume magnetic attachment raises that ceiling.

GSMArena’s 2026 review tested an iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro, but did not have a Xiaomi 17 available to test the advertised 15W mode. In its reported tests, the iPhone 15 Pro went from 1% to 27% in 30 minutes, 46% in an hour, and 75% in two hours; it reached 91% before the bank ran out at about two and a half hours. The Pixel 11 Pro went from 1% to 11% in 30 minutes, 21% in an hour, and 39% in two hours, reaching 55% when the bank depleted after about three hours. GSMArena says the Pixel’s wireless power reading never exceeded 5W. These are that publication’s results on those devices, not a prediction for every phone.
Wired USB-C is an alternative when speed matters more than cable-free convenience. Xiaomi rates it up to 22.5W and specifies a 3A Xiaomi USB-C cable or higher for fast wired charging. In GSMArena’s Pixel 11 Pro test, wired charging reached 23% after 15 minutes, 41% after 30 minutes, and 61% when the bank depleted after 51 minutes.

Will it attach and charge through your phone case?
Xiaomi’s regional guidance differs: its global product page warns that cases thicker than 2.5mm may compromise connectivity, while the India FAQ recommends non-metal cases no thicker than 2mm and suggests magnetic cases for secure attachment on supported phones. As a conservative choice, use a non-metal case no thicker than 2mm; if attachment is loose or charging is unreliable, remove the case or use a compatible magnetic one. Check the guidance and compatibility information for your market and phone.
Can it charge two devices at once?
Yes. Xiaomi describes simultaneous USB-C and wireless charging, with the UAE specification listing up to 7.5W wired plus 5W wireless. Xiaomi’s global page says a single press of the power button activates two-device charging. The India FAQ gives a different instruction for restoring wireless output after USB-C charging disables it by default: press the battery-check button twice quickly. Because Xiaomi’s regional help instructions vary, follow the manual supplied for your region rather than treating either sequence as universal.

Xiaomi’s Pakistan FAQ also says the power bank can recharge while it wirelessly charges another device. It lists a low-current mode for small accessories such as Bluetooth headphones, bands, and watches, and says charging starts automatically when connected.

Package contents differ by market. Xiaomi UAE lists the power bank, user manual, and warranty card; Xiaomi India lists the power bank and manual. Check the local product listing to confirm what is included.

Is the Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank 5000 15W worth it?
Choose it if low bulk is the priority and you want a magnetic pack for occasional top-ups. Its clearest wireless-speed match is Xiaomi 17 Series; an iPhone can use wireless charging at Xiaomi’s stated maximum of 7.5W. If you have another Android phone, check wireless compatibility and case alignment, and consider wired USB-C if wireless charging proves slow.
Skip it if you need greater reserve capacity or expect every phone to charge wirelessly at 15W. The rated output is 3,000mAh at 5V, and the only independent device tests cited here showed notably different wireless results on an iPhone 15 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro. GSMArena reported an India price of INR 5,999 in its 2026 review; that is a publication-time regional figure, not a current or global price, so check your local listing before buying.
Xiaomi describes a silicon-carbon cell with 16% silicon content and a 4,369mm² graphite sheet, but labels related battery information as internal-lab data and cautions that results vary. Those construction details are manufacturer-provided context, not independent evidence of longer life or better real-world performance.
