The REDMI Turbo 5 and vivo T5x 5G prioritize different things: Xiaomi lists a sharper 6.59-inch AMOLED screen, a Dimensity 8500-Ultra chip and 100W charging, while vivo lists a larger 6.76-inch LCD, a 7,200mAh battery and a 50MP main camera. The key price caveat is that a current, like-for-like India price for the REDMI Turbo 5 is not established by the official listings available here; vivo India lists the T5x from ₹30,999.

Which phone has the better display?
The REDMI Turbo 5 has the smaller but higher-resolution AMOLED panel: 6.59 inches at 2756 × 1268. The vivo T5x gives you more screen area at 6.76 inches, but uses an LCD panel at 2344 × 1080. Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120Hz.
- Choose the REDMI’s display on paper if you value AMOLED and higher resolution in a more compact screen.
- Choose the T5x’s display if you prefer a larger panel for viewing content.
These specifications describe panel size and resolution; they do not establish which screen looks better in person.

Performance: what the chip specifications do—and do not—show
Xiaomi lists a Dimensity 8500-Ultra for the REDMI Turbo 5, with a maximum stated clock speed of 3.4GHz, a 4nm process and Mali-G720 MC8 graphics. vivo lists a 4nm Dimensity 7400-Turbo octa-core processor for the T5x. On the listed chip tiers, Xiaomi specifies the higher-tier processor, but that alone does not quantify everyday speed, gaming performance, heat or battery use.
Xiaomi India’s FAQ claims the REDMI Turbo 5 scores over 2.3 million points in AnTuTu. This is Xiaomi’s manufacturer claim, not an independently verified head-to-head benchmark; the FAQ does not identify test conditions or a named testing source. Xiaomi’s performance claim and FAQ
Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi lists a 7,540mAh typical-capacity battery and 100W wired charging for the REDMI Turbo 5. vivo lists a 7,200mAh battery and 44W charging for the T5x. The published capacities are relatively close, with the REDMI figure higher, and Xiaomi also specifies 27W wired reverse charging.

Capacity and charging-rate figures do not establish which phone lasts longer or how quickly either charges in real use. No comparable endurance or charging test is available here, so treat these as manufacturer specifications rather than measured outcomes.
Camera hardware: ultrawide versus selfie resolution
The REDMI Turbo 5’s listed rear setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS/EIS and an 8MP ultrawide camera; its front camera is 20MP. vivo lists a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera, a 2MP bokeh camera and a 32MP front camera.
The REDMI includes an ultrawide lens and specifies optical image stabilization for the main camera. The T5x has the higher-resolution front-camera specification. Neither megapixel counts nor these feature labels establish image quality, so they are not enough to declare a camera winner.

India price difference and availability
vivo India’s store listing, retrieved October 4, 2026, shows the T5x at ₹30,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹34,999 for 8GB+256GB. These are prices for those specific configurations, and store prices can change. vivo India T5x store listing
A like-for-like current India price for the REDMI Turbo 5 is not established by the official material available here. Xiaomi’s official China store listed a starting price of ¥1,999, but a China-market price cannot be directly compared with the vivo India prices. An official Xiaomi India campaign result showed “COMING SOON,” while Xiaomi’s India product and specifications pages describe an India model. Software and update support
Xiaomi lists HyperOS 3 on the REDMI Turbo 5 and says in its FAQ that the phone will receive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates. vivo’s India product pages identify Android 16 and OriginOS 6.0 for the T5x but do not state a comparable support-duration commitment. That difference in published information does not establish that vivo’s support period is shorter.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the REDMI Turbo 5 if its listed features suit you: AMOLED at higher resolution, a Dimensity 8500-Ultra, an ultrawide rear camera, 100W wired charging, or Xiaomi’s stated update commitment. Confirm its India availability and price first.
- Consider the vivo T5x if you want a larger LCD, prefer its listed 32MP front-camera specification, or need a clearly listed India price and configuration. vivo’s store lists 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB options at the prices above.
For speed, battery life and camera results, specifications cannot substitute for comparable independent testing. Choose based on the features that matter to you, and compare the exact India variant and current store price before buying.
In the box
Xiaomi lists a 100W adapter, USB-C cable, protective case and pre-applied screen protector among the REDMI Turbo 5’s in-box items. The vivo specifications page reviewed does not establish which accessories are included with the T5x, so check the package details for the exact regional SKU rather than assuming a charger or case is included.
