On the published chipset names, the Redmi Turbo 5 is the performance-oriented option: secondary sources identify a Dimensity 8500 Ultra, while TECNO lists a Dimensity 7400 Ultimate for the CAMON 50 Ultra. That difference supports a paper-spec preference for the Redmi, but does not establish how much faster it is in apps, games, sustained workloads or everyday use. Which display suits you better?
The TECNO has a larger listed screen, a curved panel and a higher refresh rate: 6.78 inches, 1208 × 2644 resolution and 144Hz. The Redmi is reported to have a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display at 120Hz. The TECNO therefore offers more screen area and a higher stated refresh rate, while the Redmi’s flatter or curved design is not established by the cited comparison data.
A 144Hz specification does not by itself prove better overall image quality or smoothness in every app. Brightness, calibration, touch response and app support also matter, and the listed specifications do not settle those comparisons.

Camera hardware: the TECNO adds a 3x telephoto lens
The clearest camera hardware distinction is the TECNO’s dedicated 50MP 3x telephoto module. Its official rear setup also includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and an 8MP ultra-wide; TECNO lists a 50MP front camera. Secondary comparison sources report a 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide for the Redmi, without a dedicated telephoto in the listed setup.

TECNO identifies the main sensor on its product page as Sony LYTIA 700C. That page’s sensor identification and the megapixel counts describe hardware, not a tested image-quality advantage. There is no matched camera test here to rank daylight shots, portraits, low-light results, stabilization or video.

Battery capacity and charging
Gadgets 360’s June 2026 launch report attributes a 7,540mAh battery and 100W wired charging to the Redmi Turbo 5. TECNO lists 6,500mAh and 45W charging for the CAMON 50 Ultra, and explicitly notes that battery capacity varies by region. Confirm the capacity of the local TECNO variant before buying.
TECNO additionally advertises a design rated for 1,800 charge cycles while retaining over 80% capacity, along with a two-day endurance claim attributed to TÜV SÜD. These are manufacturer-published claims, not independent comparative results. Battery capacity and charging wattage do not establish which phone lasts longer in real use; screen settings, signal conditions and workload affect endurance.

What is the price difference in India?
A defensible current price difference is not established by the available figures. Xiaomi India’s store listing showed the Redmi Turbo 5 Turbo White with 8GB + 256GB at ₹41,999 when observed, alongside a struck-through ₹54,999 reference price. Separately, Gadgets 360 reported a ₹37,999 starting price at launch on June 18, 2026, with an Amazon India sale scheduled for June 19. These are different kinds of price snapshots and should not be treated as a same-day comparison.
The reviewed TECNO official specification page does not list a price, so it cannot supply the other half of a current price calculation. Comparison pages have also shown varying offer and list prices. Before deciding, compare live prices for the same country and date, and match RAM and storage; taxes, promotions, seller and warranty terms can change the effective cost.
