The REDMI Turbo 5 and Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra target very different priorities and budgets in India. Xiaomi’s phone pairs a much larger stated battery with 100W wired charging and a lower listed store price; Samsung’s flagship has a larger, higher-resolution display, more rear-camera focal lengths and a longer stated software-support term. The specifications below are manufacturer-listed figures, not results from a controlled head-to-head test.

How the displays differ
The Turbo 5’s 6.59-inch AMOLED is listed at 1.5K resolution (2756 × 1268) and supports refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Samsung specifies a 6.9-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with an adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate. Samsung notes that its 6.9-inch figure measures the full rectangle; measured with rounded corners, the display is 6.7 inches. Because the vendors describe their measurements differently, the diagonal figures are not perfectly like-for-like.
On the published specifications, the S26 Ultra offers both the larger screen and higher resolution. The Turbo 5 still specifies a 120 Hz maximum refresh rate, but that alone does not establish equal display sharpness, brightness or viewing quality.

Battery capacity and charging
Xiaomi lists a 7,540 mAh typical silicon-carbon battery and 100W wired charging for the Turbo 5, along with 27W wired reverse charging. Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh battery for the S26 Ultra and announced Super Fast Charging 3.0, claiming up to 75% charge in 30 minutes. Xiaomi cautions that actual charging speed varies with environment and conditions, so the headline charging figures should not be treated as a standardized comparison.

Battery capacity and a manufacturer charging claim do not tell you how long either phone lasts in comparable daily use. The published figures here do not establish a direct battery-runtime or charging-time winner.

Galaxy S26 Ultra
Samsung lists a 200 MP wide camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide, a 50 MP telephoto and a 10 MP telephoto, plus a 12 MP front camera. Samsung’s table describes 3x and 5x optical zoom and 2x and 10x “optical quality” zoom.

The S26 Ultra therefore has more documented rear-camera focal-length options, including two telephoto cameras. That is a hardware versatility difference, not proof that its photos will always look better: megapixel counts and camera specifications cannot replace comparable image samples under the same conditions.

Performance: what the specifications can and cannot show
The Turbo 5 uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500-Ultra, which Xiaomi identifies as a TSMC 4 nm chip with CPU speeds up to 3.4 GHz. Samsung specifies the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in the S26 Ultra. Samsung reports up to 19% CPU, 39% NPU and 24% GPU improvement over the previous generation; those are Samsung’s generational claims, not measurements against the REDMI Turbo 5.
A third-party comparison listing reports AnTuTu scores of 2,135,669 for the Turbo 5 and 3,905,605 for the S26 Ultra, but does not establish a controlled, reproducible methodology in the available listing. Those numbers are publisher-listed results, not a dependable direct benchmark verdict. The specifications and figures cited here do not establish which phone is faster in sustained gaming, runs cooler or performs better in everyday use.

Software-support commitments
Xiaomi states that the Turbo 5 will receive four years of Android OS upgrades and six years of security patches. Samsung states that the S26 series will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. These are not identical measures: one OS commitment is expressed in years and the other in generations, so they should not be treated as precisely equivalent timelines.
India price difference and what the figures mean
Xiaomi India’s store listed the REDMI Turbo 5 at ₹41,999 for an 8 GB + 256 GB configuration when captured on 4 October 2026. The page also displayed ₹54,999 as a marketing price. Both figures are specific to that store listing and date; offers and prices can change.

Samsung Newsroom India reported a starting price of ₹139,999 for the Galaxy S26 Ultra during launch-period coverage in 2026, alongside March preorder and delivery context. That figure is launch-period pricing, not an established current street price, and the exact storage tier is not specified here. Since the two prices have different timing and variant detail, subtracting them would not produce a reliable current, like-for-like price gap. Check current listings for the same storage tier, seller and offer conditions before buying.
Quick Recap
Which phone should you choose?
Choose REDMI Turbo 5 if battery and charging matter most
- You prioritize its larger stated battery capacity and 100W wired charging over a larger, higher-resolution display or multiple telephoto cameras.
- You want the lower Xiaomi India store price shown for the 8 GB + 256 GB configuration, subject to checking the live listing.
- The included package is useful to you: Xiaomi lists a 100W adapter, protective case, cable and factory-applied screen protector. Package contents can vary by region.
Choose Galaxy S26 Ultra if display, camera options and support matter most
- You want the larger QHD+ display with adaptive refresh rate.
- You value a rear-camera system with multiple listed focal lengths, including two telephoto cameras.
- Samsung’s stated seven OS generations and seven years of security updates better suit your software-support priorities.
What to verify before buying in India
- Compare the live price of each phone at the same storage capacity and, where applicable, RAM configuration; confirm seller, offer terms and date.
- Check local warranty, network compatibility and region-specific available variants.
- If camera quality or gaming performance is decisive, seek comparable samples or standardized tests rather than inferring a winner from megapixel counts, chipset names or unverified benchmark listings.
- For charging comparisons, check the test conditions and charger used. Xiaomi lists its 100W adapter in the package, but contents may vary by region.
