The Redmi Turbo 5 is the stronger-looking choice on listed battery capacity, wired charging speed and processor tier; the Galaxy M47 5G offers a slightly larger Super AMOLED display and a clearly stated Samsung software-support policy. Those are specification-based trade-offs, not results from matched performance, camera or battery tests. The evidence also differs by brand: Samsung’s details come from its India product page, while the Redmi specifications and both price snapshots come from 91mobiles.

Samsung specifications and its support policy are from Samsung India’s Galaxy M47 5G product page. Redmi specifications and the Amazon India price snapshots for both phones are from 91mobiles’ comparison page. Xiaomi primary-source confirmation for the Redmi figures is not established here.
Which phone has the better battery and charging?
On listed capacity and charging wattage, the Redmi Turbo 5 leads: 91mobiles lists a 7,540 mAh battery and 100 W charging, compared with Samsung India’s 6,000 mAh typical battery and 45 W fast charging for the Galaxy M47 5G. Capacity and charging ratings do not establish real-world battery life or charging time; those depend on usage, software, temperature and charging conditions, and no comparable independent endurance test is cited here.

How do the displays compare?
The Galaxy M47 has the slightly larger listed display: Samsung specifies a 16.91 cm full rectangle, approximately 6.66 inches, while 91mobiles lists the Redmi at 6.59 inches. Both are listed at 120 Hz; Samsung identifies its screen as Super AMOLED, while the Redmi listing says AMOLED.
On resolution, the listed Redmi panel is 1268 × 2756 and the Samsung panel is 1080 × 2340. A higher pixel count alone does not settle overall screen quality: panel tuning, brightness and other viewing characteristics are not established by these figures.

Processor and camera differences
Processor
The Redmi listing names a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra and pairs it with 8 GB RAM in the compared configuration. Samsung’s official page identifies an octa-core processor and its 2.4 / 1.8 GHz speeds; the comparison source identifies that chip as Snapdragon 6 Gen 3. The listed processor tier makes the Redmi the apparent choice for a buyer prioritizing the chipset specification, but these details do not substitute for matched benchmarks or real-world tests.

Samsung officially lists 50 MP, 5 MP and 2 MP rear cameras, with autofocus, OIS and 4K UHD recording at 30 fps. 91mobiles lists a 50 MP main and 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera for the Redmi, plus a 20 MP front camera; it lists a 12 MP front camera for Samsung. These specifications describe hardware and recording capability, not comparative image quality. No matched camera test is established, and megapixel counts alone do not show which phone takes better photos.

How long will Samsung update the Galaxy M47?
Samsung India states that the Galaxy M47 5G will receive six generations of OS upgrades and six years of security updates, counted from the first global launch date. Samsung also says the policy is subject to change. Its cited page gives 31 July 2032 as the security-update validity date for this model.
The 91mobiles comparison does not state a corresponding Redmi Turbo 5 support commitment. That gap means the available comparison cannot establish how the Redmi’s update policy compares; it should not be read as proof that Xiaomi offers no updates.

How do the Redmi Turbo 5 and Galaxy M47 prices compare?
In 91mobiles’ 2026 Amazon India price snapshot, the Redmi Turbo 5 is listed at ₹41,999 and the Galaxy M47 5G at ₹35,999, a difference of ₹6,000. These are volatile third-party snapshots, not guaranteed current prices. The Samsung India page for the cited 6 GB model says “Not for sale,” so confirm live stock, exact RAM and storage variant, and retailer price before making a decision.
Which phone should you choose?
- Choose the Redmi Turbo 5 on paper if the listed larger battery, faster wired charging or Dimensity 8500 Ultra matter most to you, and you can confirm the specifications and availability for the India-market unit you intend to buy.
- Choose the Galaxy M47 5G on paper if you value its slightly larger Super AMOLED display or Samsung’s explicit OS and security-update commitment. Factor in that Samsung says its 45 W charger is sold separately.
- Compare exact variants and live listings before deciding: the compared Redmi configuration is listed with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, while the cited Samsung page is for 6 GB and the comparison lists 128 GB.
Neither set of specifications establishes a universal winner. The practical choice depends on which listed features matter to you, the variant you can actually buy, and its current price.
