The Xiaomi Redmi Turbo 5 is the stronger on-paper pick for battery capacity and wired charging, while the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G offers a larger, higher-refresh-rate display and a dedicated periscope telephoto camera. In India, Motorola’s official storefront displayed the 12/256 GB model for ₹47,999 against an MRP of ₹84,999 on October 5, 2026. Comparison sites put the Redmi Turbo 5 around ₹41,999, but those prices vary and should be checked against live listings.
Specs at a glance
The figures below come from comparison listings rather than a complete official spec sheet for both phones. Smartprix says its comparison was last updated September 2, 2026; Motorola’s India storefront confirms its own 12/256 GB configuration. Treat the remaining specifications as reported listing data, not independently verified test results.

How the displays differ
Smartprix lists the Motorola’s screen at 6.78 inches and 144 Hz, compared with 6.59 inches and 120 Hz for the Redmi Turbo 5. The Motorola therefore has the larger panel and higher stated refresh rate on paper. Those figures alone do not establish which screen looks better or how much smoother it feels in everyday use.
Battery capacity and charging
Smartprix lists a 7,540 mAh battery for the Redmi Turbo 5 and a 6,500 mAh battery for the Motorola. The comparison listings also report 100 W wired charging for Xiaomi and 90 W for Motorola. Capacity is not a controlled endurance result: actual runtime depends on factors such as usage and settings, and the evidence here does not establish a guaranteed battery-life winner. Charging rates can also depend on the compatible charger and conditions.

Rear cameras: more focal-length options on Motorola
Smartprix lists a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultrawide on the Redmi Turbo 5. Its Motorola listing adds a 50 MP periscope telephoto camera alongside 50 MP main and ultrawide cameras. That gives the Motorola more listed rear-camera options, especially for telephoto framing; megapixel counts and lens variety do not prove better image quality.
Price difference in India
On October 5, 2026, Motorola India’s storefront displayed the Edge 70 Pro Plus in 12/256 GB at ₹47,999, against an MRP of ₹84,999. The displayed offer is a storefront price observed on that date, not a guaranteed price or a recurring discount. Comparison listings put the Redmi Turbo 5 around ₹41,999 and the Motorola between ₹46,979 and ₹47,999, but third-party references conflict and can lag price changes. Check the current price, exact configuration and seller before buying; do not treat the comparison figures as a fixed price difference.

Which phone should you choose?
Choose the Redmi Turbo 5 if battery and charging figures matter most
Its reported battery capacity is larger and its listed wired charging rate is higher. These are specification advantages, not proof of longer real-world battery life or faster charging in every setup.

Its listed display is larger and refreshes faster, and its rear-camera specification includes a periscope telephoto lens. The available figures do not establish overall display or photo quality.

Compare like-for-like listings before deciding on price
Motorola India confirms a 12/256 GB version. Third-party Xiaomi listings show both 8/256 GB and 12/256 GB variants, so compare the same RAM and storage configuration rather than choosing by headline price alone.
