The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has the sharper AMOLED display and higher-resolution listed front camera; the vivo T5 Lite 5G has the larger rated battery. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone lasts longer, takes better photos, or performs faster. As of October 4, 2026, the available official-store prices are also for different configurations, so they are not a like-for-like price comparison.

Display: Redmi lists the sharper panel
The Redmi’s 2392×1080 AMOLED panel has a higher resolution and uses a different display technology from the vivo’s 1600×720 LCD. Both manufacturers list refresh rates up to 120Hz, so the refresh-rate figure alone does not distinguish them. vivo also lists 1200 nits in High Brightness Mode; that is a manufacturer-published figure, not a measured comparison against the Redmi.

Cameras: compare the hardware, not just megapixels
Xiaomi lists a 50MP main camera and 2MP depth camera on the rear, plus a 20MP front camera; its specifications include rear video recording at 4K and 30fps. vivo lists a 50MP main rear camera, a 0.08MP auxiliary camera and a 5MP front camera.
The higher listed front-camera resolution gives the Redmi a paper-spec advantage for selfies, but megapixels do not establish image quality. These specifications do not show how the phones compare in focus, color, low-light shots, video stabilization or processing.

Battery and charging: vivo has more listed capacity
Xiaomi lists a typical battery capacity of 5800mAh for the Redmi; vivo lists 6500mAh for the T5 Lite. Both list a charger in the box. Xiaomi specifies 45W Turbo Charging, while vivo specifies 44W; vivo says its 44W figure is the maximum output when using the official vivo standard charger.

Performance, software and everyday differences
The Redmi uses a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 made on a 4nm process, while the vivo uses a Dimensity 6300 5G made on a 6nm process. Both are listed with maximum CPU clock speeds up to 2.4GHz. Those figures do not substitute for comparable testing, so they do not establish which phone is faster in apps, games or sustained workloads.
Xiaomi lists HyperOS 3 with Android 15; vivo lists Origin OS 6.0 with Android 16. If software version is important, verify the version on the exact unit and check each manufacturer’s current update information before buying; the listed operating-system versions alone do not establish future update support.

The Redmi is listed at 178g in black or white and 182g in Crimson, compared with 209g for the vivo. Their other practical distinctions include the Redmi’s in-screen fingerprint sensor, dual speakers and IR blaster, and its hybrid second SIM/microSD slot. vivo lists a side fingerprint sensor, dual nano-SIM support and FM support.

Price difference in India: check matching variants
As of October 4, 2026, Xiaomi India’s official-store listing showed the Redmi Note 15 SE 5G from ₹25,999, alongside a displayed marketing price of ₹34,999. The surfaced listing did not identify the RAM/storage variant. vivo’s official e-store listed its selected T5 Lite 44W 5G configuration, 6GB+256GB, at ₹26,999, with an MRP of ₹42,499.

The vivo selected-variant offer is ₹1,000 above Xiaomi’s surfaced “from” price, but the figures do not compare the same RAM/storage tier and should not be treated as a definitive model-to-model price difference. Before purchase, compare the closest available configurations and check the live price, seller, stock, discounts, and any bank or exchange conditions. Store offers can change.
Dust and water resistance: ratings have limits
Xiaomi describes the Redmi’s IP65 and IP66 ratings as applying under specific laboratory conditions that do not correspond to normal use. vivo’s IP65 documentation says resistance is not permanent and can be reduced by factors including daily use, SIM insertion and removal, drops or impacts; its store documentation also says liquid-ingress damage is not covered by warranty.
Neither rating means a phone is waterproof in ordinary use. Follow the manufacturer’s care and warranty terms rather than treating the rating as permission to expose the device to water.
