The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G and the vivo T5 Pro 5G share the same named chipset, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, but their manufacturer listings split on almost everything else. Xiaomi’s sheet emphasises a 200MP main camera and 100W wired charging. vivo’s sheet emphasises a larger 9020mAh battery and a 144Hz display. The specification differences are clear. A price difference is not yet verifiable, because the vivo India store shows prices while Xiaomi’s India specifications page does not show a current price. All figures below are for the India-market models only, and they were checked on 4 October 2026.
Specifications side by side
The table uses each manufacturer’s own India listing. Where one side lists a value the other does not, the cell says so instead of guessing.

Cameras: more pixels versus a second lens
Xiaomi lists the higher main-camera resolution, at 200MP with OIS, and it adds an 8MP ultra-wide lens. vivo lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor with OIS and a 2MP bokeh lens. The two front cameras are both listed at 32MP.

The practical difference depends on how you shoot. The main sensor resolution determines how many pixels a photo can contain, but it does not show how sharp, well-exposed or colour-accurate the output will be. The ultra-wide lens is the one feature a buyer can use directly to frame wider scenes, and only Xiaomi’s listing includes one. No photo comparison was carried out for this article, so camera quality cannot be ranked from these specifications.
Battery and charging
vivo lists a 9020mAh battery, which is roughly 2,500mAh larger than Xiaomi’s 6500mAh typical figure. Xiaomi’s listing uses a typical value rather than a rated one, so the gap may be smaller or larger in practice. Xiaomi includes a 100W charger in the box and lists that wattage. vivo lists 90W FlashCharge.

Neither manufacturer’s listing states endurance hours or charging time from 0 to 100%. A larger battery and a faster charger are different things: capacity controls how long the phone lasts, and wattage controls how quickly it refills. Both figures are manufacturer claims.
Display
Both phones use a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with similar resolutions. vivo lists a 144Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi lists its panel as up to 120Hz, so the faster-refresh option is on the vivo sheet. Higher refresh rate makes scrolling and animation smoother only where an app or game actually renders at that rate, and a listing alone does not show how the screen looks in use.

Memory configurations
The two lineups overlap at 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB. Xiaomi also lists a 12GB+512GB configuration, which vivo does not list in this evidence. vivo’s base option is 8GB+128GB, which Xiaomi does not list. If you are comparing prices, match the storage tier first. A 128GB model against a 256GB model is not a like-for-like price comparison.
Software and durability claims
Software support
Xiaomi’s product page states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. vivo’s page names OriginOS 6, which is built on Android 16, but the reviewed page does not state an equivalent update period. These support promises can differ by region and may change, so check the current policy before relying on either one.

Durability
Xiaomi promotes IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings along with Gorilla Glass Victus 2. vivo promotes IP68 and IP69+. The two ratings are not directly comparable as marketed labels. Before judging water and dust protection, confirm the certification wording for your market and the warranty terms that apply to it.
Price difference: what is verified
vivo T5 Pro 5G
The vivo India store displayed ₹41,999 for the 8GB+128GB model and ₹46,999 for an 8GB+256GB selection when checked on 4 October 2026. These are store prices seen on that date, not fixed prices. They may have changed since then, and offers may apply.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G
Xiaomi’s official India specifications page lists the three memory configurations but does not show a current selling price. No verified Indian price for a matching Xiaomi configuration is available, so a numeric price gap cannot be stated. To close this gap, check Xiaomi’s live India store and compare the same storage tier on the same date.
Which listing fits which priorities
These are feature-based trade-offs drawn from the listings. They are not test-based recommendations.
- Battery capacity and refresh rate: the vivo T5 Pro 5G lists the larger battery and the 144Hz display.
- Main camera resolution and an extra lens: the Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G lists the 200MP OIS main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide.
- Fast wired charging: the Xiaomi listing states 100W with a charger in the box. vivo lists 90W.
- Entry storage tier: vivo’s 8GB+128GB model is the lower-storage option, and Xiaomi does not list a 128GB model.
- Stated OS update duration: Xiaomi states four years of OS updates and six years of security updates. vivo’s reviewed page does not state an equivalent figure.
What these specifications cannot tell you
No independent benchmark, camera comparison, battery endurance test, charging measurement or hands-on evaluation was carried out for this article. Every performance, battery, camera and durability statement here is the manufacturer’s own claim, taken from the product pages listed above. The same Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset appearing on both sheets does not show that the two phones will perform identically once thermal limits, software tuning and memory configuration are taken into account.
Prices are the other open question. The vivo figures are dated store observations. The Xiaomi India price has not been established, and the affiliate availability of either model has not been verified.
For a fair price comparison, check Xiaomi’s live India price and the vivo store price for the same memory tier on the same day, and confirm the offers and warranty terms that apply to each.
