The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G has the larger screen, the higher-resolution main camera and the bigger battery. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is lighter, charges faster by wire, has a curved display and was listed about ₹7,000 cheaper in India when Smartprix was checked. Which one is the better buy depends on which of those trade-offs you care about most.
Which models are being compared
Xiaomi sells the phone in the title as the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G. Its India product page and the TechRadar review both cover that 5G model, so this article uses that name. The Motorola side is the Edge 60 Fusion in the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration that TechRadar tested. Motorola’s listing can differ by region and by memory variant, so the figures below should be read as the configurations those sources describe, not as a universal spec sheet.
Official Xiaomi India details are on the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G product page on mi.com. The review figures come from TechRadar’s reviews of the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion.

Display: larger screen, almost identical sharpness
The Redmi has the larger panel, and its pixel count is higher. Calculating pixel density from the listed resolution and diagonal gives roughly 447 pixels per inch for the Redmi and roughly 444 for the Motorola. In practice the two screens look equally sharp, so the real difference is size and shape rather than detail.

The Motorola’s quad-curved pOLED screen is the design choice most likely to split buyers. Curved edges make the phone feel slimmer in the hand and change how the edges reflect light, while some people find accidental touches along the sides more frequent. That is a matter of preference. Neither style is objectively better, and the reviews do not measure it.
Cameras: more resolution on the Redmi, a different balance on the Motorola
The Redmi’s 200MP main camera is the headline number, and Xiaomi’s India page describes it with a 1/1.4-inch sensor and optical image stabilisation. A high-resolution sensor gives you more room to crop and more detail in good light, but phones with large-sensor high-megapixel cameras commonly combine pixels into lower-resolution default shots. Megapixel count alone does not tell you how photos will look.
The Motorola’s 50MP main camera also has optical stabilisation, and its ultrawide sensor is 13MP against the Redmi’s 8MP. The Motorola’s front camera is 32MP against the Redmi’s 20MP. If you take many group selfies or want a wider rear field with more pixels, the Motorola’s camera mix is more balanced. If you mainly want a sharp main camera with room to crop, the Redmi’s specification is the stronger one.

No independent side-by-side camera test was established for this comparison. Look at sample photos from both phones in the lighting you shoot in most often before deciding.
Battery and charging: capacity versus speed
The Redmi is the endurance pick on paper. Its 6,580mAh battery is larger than either Motorola figure, and it charges at 45W. The Motorola charges faster by wire at 68W, so it reaches a full charge sooner despite its smaller capacity.
Battery figures for the Motorola need care. TechRadar lists 5,200mAh, while Smartprix lists 5,500mAh. Both figures are stated in the sources, and the difference probably reflects different regional or configuration listings, but the cited pages do not explain it. Do not treat either figure as confirmed for your market until you check the phone’s box or specification sheet.

On endurance, TechRadar’s Redmi reviewer wrote, “I found it lasted plenty long enough during everyday use.” That is one reviewer’s experience with one unit, not a measured runtime, and no controlled battery test was established for either phone in this comparison.
Performance and benchmark scope
The Motorola scores 3,050 on Geekbench multi-core against the Redmi’s 2,938 on the 91mobiles comparison page, about 4% higher. That is a real but small gap in one synthetic test. It does not show that the Motorola will feel faster in apps, games or daily use, and it does not measure thermal performance over long sessions.
The chipset is also not consistent across sources. TechRadar’s Motorola review lists the Dimensity 7300, while the 91mobiles page associates the Motorola with the Dimensity 7400, which TechRadar lists for the Redmi. Check the chip name in the spec sheet for the exact unit you plan to buy.

Software support: longer commitments on the Redmi
TechRadar reports that the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G is promised four years of OS upgrades and six years of security patches. The Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is reported with three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates. Both phones launched with Android 15, and the Redmi shipped with HyperOS 2.
These are the review-reported commitments, and they are the kind of terms that can change by region and by seller. Confirm them with the manufacturer’s current support page for your country before buying, especially if you plan to keep the phone for several years. If you dislike the Xiaomi software layer, the Redmi’s longer update window matters less than how you feel about its interface.

Weight and handling
The Motorola weighs 178g and the Redmi 210g, a gap of 32g. That is noticeable over a day of one-handed use, and it is the clearest handling advantage on the Motorola side. The Redmi’s larger screen and heavier body suit people who prefer a bigger phone and do not mind the extra weight.

Price difference
When Smartprix’s comparison page was checked, it showed ₹31,999 for the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G and ₹24,999 for the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion, a displayed gap of ₹7,000. Listing prices move with stock, seller, bank offers and memory variant, and the two listings may not be for the same RAM and storage. Use the gap as a starting point and confirm the exact configuration before you compare.
TechRadar reported launch pricing for the Redmi in the UK and Australia at £349 and AU$699 for the 8GB/256GB model, and £399 for the 12GB/512GB model in some markets. Those launch prices are not a same-market comparison with the Indian listing, and the sources do not establish a current UK or Australian price for the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion.
Which phone fits which priority
Choose the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G if
- You want the larger 6.83-inch display and the slightly higher pixel count.
- Main-camera resolution and crop room matter more to you than handling.
- You want the bigger 6,580mAh battery and can accept 45W charging.
- You want longer promised update coverage and the dust and water resistance rating on Xiaomi’s page.
Choose the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion if
- You want the lighter phone at 178g, with a curved screen you find comfortable.
- Fast wired charging at 68W matters more than maximum battery capacity.
- The ultrawide camera and 32MP front camera fit how you shoot.
- The lower listed price in your market is the deciding factor.
Before you buy
- Confirm the exact RAM, storage and region on the listing, and match it to the configuration you are comparing.
- Check the battery capacity and chipset on the manufacturer’s spec sheet for your market, since the Motorola figures differ between sources.
- Check the official update and warranty terms for your country.
- Look at camera samples in your usual shooting conditions.
Neither phone is the outright winner across every category. The Redmi leads on display size, main-camera resolution, battery capacity and promised software support. The Motorola leads on weight, wired charging speed, the curved design and the listed price in India. Pick by priority, then verify the market-specific details above.
