For the specs comparison, the Motorola edge 70 pro has the stronger listed chipset and storage, a faster-refresh display, and faster wired charging. The REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G counters with a higher-resolution main camera, a slightly larger stated battery, and a larger screen. Whether Motorola’s advantages justify paying more depends on your local price and which features matter most; the available price figures are dated, dynamic Amazon listings rather than official prices.
This comparison uses Xiaomi’s global and India specifications and Motorola’s India specifications. Regional names, configurations, features, and box contents can differ. In particular, make sure a listing is for the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G—not the 4G, Pro+, or another regional model.

Where the Motorola has the paper-spec advantage
Chipset, memory, and storage
Motorola lists the Dimensity 8500 Extreme, LPDDR5X memory, and UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi lists the Dimensity 7400-Ultra, LPDDR4X memory, and UFS 2.2 storage. Those are stronger listed platform and storage specifications for Motorola, but they are not a real-world speed test: day-to-day performance, gaming, heat, and sustained workloads cannot be settled from these specifications alone.
Storage configuration is also worth checking at checkout. Xiaomi’s global page lists options through 12GB + 512GB, while the cited Motorola India page lists 256GB storage. Regional availability may differ from those page listings.
Display refresh rate and charging
Motorola lists a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, compared with Xiaomi’s up to 120Hz. Xiaomi’s panel is slightly larger at 6.83 inches versus 6.8 inches. A higher maximum refresh rate can make supported motion appear smoother, but it does not establish which screen looks better overall; the published specifications do not provide a controlled visual comparison.

Motorola India lists 90W wired charging, twice Xiaomi’s listed 45W rating. Charging time in actual use is not established by those ratings alone. Motorola’s global announcement also describes 15W wireless charging, but that should not be assumed to apply to every regional model; check the exact SKU before relying on it. Motorola’s announcement is the source for that wireless-charging claim.
Where the Xiaomi has the paper-spec advantage
Main camera and battery capacity
Xiaomi lists a 200MP OIS main camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, while Motorola lists a 50MP OIS main camera. The resolution and sensor figures make Xiaomi the higher-spec choice on paper, but megapixels do not establish which phone takes better photos. Image processing, focus, exposure, low-light behavior, and consistency matter too; no controlled head-to-head photo test is available here.
The Xiaomi’s listed 6,580mAh typical battery capacity is marginally above Motorola India’s 6,500mAh. Capacity is not a battery-life result: screen settings, signal conditions, apps, and usage affect endurance. Do not treat the small capacity difference as proof that the Xiaomi lasts longer in practice.

Ingress ratings and handset size
Xiaomi India advertises IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings plus Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Motorola India lists IP68 and IP69, MIL-STD 810H, and Gorilla Glass 7i. These are manufacturer-stated ratings and standards, not a promise that either phone is immune to water, dust, impact, or other damage. Warranty terms and the exact regional model still matter.

Motorola’s listed thickness also varies by finish. That may make it the more appealing option if a lighter, narrower handset matters to you, though comfort is personal.
Camera comparison: versatility matters more than megapixels
The rear camera arrangements point to different strengths. Xiaomi combines a high-resolution main camera with an 8MP ultrawide; Motorola pairs its 50MP main camera with a 50MP autofocus ultrawide that also supports macro. That gives Motorola’s listed ultrawide more resolution and autofocus versatility, while Xiaomi emphasizes the main camera’s resolution and sensor size.

For selfies, Motorola lists a 50MP autofocus front camera and Xiaomi a 20MP front camera. Motorola therefore has the higher stated resolution and autofocus on paper, but those details alone do not prove it produces better portraits or video. Choose based on the types of shots you take, and seek comparable sample photos from the exact models if camera quality is decisive.

Account for seller, stock, promotional offers, warranty, and regional SKU; a different configuration or seller can make the headline price comparison misleading. Motorola’s announcement directs buyers to local PR teams for pricing and availability rather than stating a universal price.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the moto edge 70 pro if
- You prioritize the stronger listed chipset, memory type, and storage standard.
- You want the higher maximum listed refresh rate and faster wired charging.
- You value a 50MP autofocus ultrawide and autofocus selfie camera on the spec sheet.
- A narrower, lighter phone is a better fit for your hands or pocket.
Choose the REDMI Note 15 Pro 5G if
- You want the higher-resolution main camera and larger stated sensor, while recognizing that these do not settle photo quality.
- You prefer the slightly larger listed battery capacity or 6.83-inch display.
- Xiaomi India’s broader set of advertised ingress ratings is more relevant to your needs.
- The Xiaomi is meaningfully cheaper in a same-day comparison of matching regional configurations.
Check software support and regional details before checkout
Xiaomi’s global specifications list HyperOS 2. Motorola India lists Android 16 and “Up to 3 years” for OS upgrades plus security patches. That wording does not give enough detail to compare exact update end dates or patch frequency. Check the current support policy for your country and exact model if software longevity is a deciding factor.
Also verify NFC, included accessories, and charging features for the precise regional unit. Xiaomi notes that NFC availability and box contents can vary by region; its global package may include a protective case, but that should not be assumed for every market. If buying a case or screen protector separately, confirm exact compatibility with the model.
