The Redmi Note 15 5G has a more firmly documented specification sheet; the available detailed vivo S2 5G specifications and India prices come from a vivo community post, not an official vivo product page. On the reported figures, vivo offers a larger display and battery, while Xiaomi lists a 108 MP main camera, an ultra-wide rear camera and 45 W charging. There is no reliable universal price gap: the comparison depends on country, storage tier and current seller listings.
Check the exact models before comparing
Xiaomi’s global specification page identifies its handset as the REDMI Note 15 5G. Do not assume its specifications or price apply to every phone sold as Redmi Note 15: regional or 4G variants may differ. Xiaomi also notes that network bands and NFC availability can vary by market. Confirm the model and regional version on the listing before comparing it with the S2 5G.
There is an important difference in the evidence for the two phones. Xiaomi publishes the Redmi Note 15 5G specifications directly. The detailed S2 5G figures below are reported in a post by Anant Rawat on the vivo community. vivo’s security device list includes the name “S2 5G,” but does not verify those product specifications or establish retail availability.

How the reported specifications compare in practice
Display size and shape
The community post describes the vivo’s display as 6.83 inches, compared with Xiaomi’s published 6.67-inch panel. It also describes the vivo screen as curved and 1.5K, while Xiaomi lists a 2392 × 1080 AMOLED display. Both are reported or specified at 120 Hz. A larger panel may suit video and reading, but the curved-versus-flat distinction and phone dimensions matter for one-handed use and screen-protector fit.
Processor and memory options
The listed processors are Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 for Xiaomi and Dimensity 7360-Turbo for vivo, according to the community post. Those names alone do not establish which phone performs better in games, sustained workloads or everyday use; the evidence here does not include comparable independent testing. Xiaomi publishes four RAM/storage combinations, while the vivo post reports two, both with 8 GB RAM.

Cameras
Xiaomi specifies a 108 MP main rear camera, an 8 MP ultra-wide and a 20 MP front camera. The cited vivo community post does not state camera specifications, so it cannot support a camera-quality or camera-versatility winner. Megapixel counts alone would not establish image quality in any case.
Battery and charging
The vivo post reports a 7050 mAh battery, larger on paper than Xiaomi’s 5520 mAh typical-capacity figure. The capacities do not establish comparative runtime: screen size, software, network conditions and usage all affect battery life. Xiaomi lists 45 W turbo charging and vivo’s post reports 44 W charging; charging wattage alone does not show how long a full charge takes.

Xiaomi says its global product page does not include a power adapter and recommends a compatible PD or Xiaomi 45 W adapter. The vivo community post says the box includes a 44 W adapter, USB-C cable, transparent case, pre-applied screen protector, SIM ejector and quick-start and warranty documents. That is one poster’s account, not a guarantee of the package in every market or from every seller.

There is no dependable single price difference to quote without choosing a country, exact storage tier, seller and date. The vivo community post reports India prices of ₹39,999 for 8 GB + 128 GB and ₹44,999 for 8 GB + 256 GB. These are community-reported prices, not verified current retail prices. Xiaomi’s global specification page does not establish a country-specific price.

Secondary comparison listings are inconsistent: 91mobiles results report ₹28,999 for Redmi and either ₹39,490 or ₹37,999 for vivo, while a localized comparison result reports ₹39,990 for vivo. Those results do not establish matching storage configurations, sellers, dates or offers, so they cannot support a universal price gap. One 91mobiles comparison result is among the listings reflected in that inconsistency.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesHow to make a fair local comparison
- Confirm the precise model and regional version for each phone, including whether the Redmi is the Note 15 5G rather than a different Note 15 variant.
- Match RAM and storage as closely as possible; do not compare a 128 GB handset with a 256 GB one without calling out the difference.
- Check both listings at the same time from sellers serving your country. Record the date and whether the displayed price includes taxes and shipping.
- Separate the regular listed price from bank offers, exchange discounts and other conditional promotions.
- Check local network bands, NFC availability, warranty coverage and included accessories for the exact regional handset. Xiaomi specifically warns that some connectivity details vary by market.
Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi Note 15 5G if Xiaomi’s published camera configuration, its listed storage choices or its stated 45 W charging better fits your needs. Verify local connectivity and adapter availability before buying.
- Consider the vivo S2 5G if the larger display and reported larger battery are priorities, but verify the specifications, seller, warranty and package contents for your market because the detailed figures available here are community-reported.
- Choose by local value only after comparing the same storage tier and current seller terms. The available prices are not a like-for-like, current retail comparison.
Software-update support and independently comparable performance, camera and battery tests are not established by the cited sources, so they should not be used to declare an overall winner from these specifications alone.
