Choose the Redmi Note 15 5G for the larger screen and rear-camera flexibility
Its 6.77-inch display is physically larger than the realme’s 6.57-inch panel. On paper, the Redmi also gives you a 108MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a separate 8MP ultra-wide camera. That makes its listed rear-camera setup more versatile for framing different scenes. Megapixel counts and listed camera hardware do not, by themselves, establish which phone takes better photos.

Choose the realme 15T 5G for the larger stated battery and higher-resolution selfie camera
realme lists a 7000mAh typical-capacity battery and 60W charging, compared with the Redmi’s 5520mAh and 45W. It also lists a 50MP front camera, versus 20MP on the Redmi. These figures make the realme the more compelling specification-sheet choice if battery capacity, charging rating or selfie-camera resolution is your priority; they do not prove longer real-world battery life or better-looking selfies.
Do not pick a winner based only on processor or brightness figures
The listed chips differ in manufacturer, process node and maximum clock speed. Those specifications alone do not show which phone is faster in everyday use, games or sustained workloads. Likewise, the manufacturers’ peak-brightness figures may use different measurement conditions, so they are not a like-for-like brightness test. No matched independent performance, display, camera or battery testing is established by these specifications.

What is the price difference in India?
91mobiles displayed ₹28,999 for the Redmi Note 15 and ₹26,999 for the realme 15T in its comparison listing. Smartprix showed the same figures and stated its page details were last updated September 21, 2026. At those observed prices, the realme is ₹2,000 less. Before deciding, check the current price, seller, stock and exact RAM/storage configuration on the listing you plan to buy. A price gap is meaningful only when you are comparing equivalent tiers; an offer or configuration mismatch can change the apparent difference.

Software support, storage and durability details
Update commitments are not directly comparable
Xiaomi’s product page states four years of OS updates and six years of security patches for the Redmi Note 15 5G. The realme specifications page identifies realme UI 6.0 based on Android 15, but does not establish a comparable official update-duration commitment. Check each manufacturer’s current regional policy if update longevity is a deciding factor.
Match physical memory and storage, not just the headline RAM number
The Redmi is listed with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage. The realme adds a 12GB RAM option alongside 8GB, with the same listed storage choices. realme also lists dynamic RAM expansion; this uses storage as a supplement and is not equivalent to having that amount of physical RAM. Xiaomi lists expandable storage up to 1TB, a useful distinction if you keep many files on the device.

Treat IP ratings and included accessories precisely
Xiaomi lists IP65 + IP66 with laboratory-condition and warranty caveats. An IP rating is not a promise that a phone is waterproof in every situation. Both manufacturers list charging accessories and a protective case in the box for their respective models, but package contents can vary by sales region; verify the contents on the local listing.
