The price gap decides most of this comparison. Xiaomi’s official India page advertises the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G at ₹13,999, while vivo’s official India store showed the vivo X300 FE in its 12GB+256GB configuration at ₹94,999 (MRP ₹119,999). Those figures were checked on 7 October 2026, and the difference between them is ₹81,000. The two phones are not aimed at the same buyer, so the right choice starts with budget and then moves to screen size, camera needs, charging, and storage.
Price difference: what each source shows
Phone prices move quickly, and the sources below do not agree. Treat the manufacturer store figures as the dated baseline and the third-party figures as context only.
| Source | Date checked | Redmi Note 14 SE 5G | vivo X300 FE |
|---|---|---|---|
| Xiaomi India official product page | 7 October 2026 | ₹13,999 advertised price | Not stated (page covers Redmi only) |
| vivo India Official E-Store | 7 October 2026 | Not stated (page covers vivo only) | ₹94,999 for 12GB+256GB; MRP ₹119,999 |
| 91mobiles comparison page | 2026 (access date not stated) | ₹14,399, shown as out of stock | ₹89,999 on Amazon |
| Smartprix comparison page | Details last updated 6 September 2026 | ₹25,990 | ₹84,999 |
The Xiaomi figure is an advertised price, not a guaranteed street price, and the snapshot does not make clear which memory configuration it applies to. Check that before comparing it with the vivo figure, which is tied to 12GB+256GB. The Smartprix Redmi price is about ₹12,000 higher than Xiaomi’s advertised figure, which suggests a different variant, a different date, or a stale listing. The 91mobiles and Smartprix numbers should not be read as the price you will pay.

Screen size and body
The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G has the larger screen, at 6.67 inches against 6.31 inches. The vivo X300 FE is the more compact phone. The two resolutions also produce different pixel densities. Calculated from the listed diagonal and resolution, the Redmi panel works out to about 395 pixels per inch and the vivo panel to about 461 pixels per inch. This is arithmetic from published figures, not a measured display test, and it says nothing about brightness, colour accuracy, or how either screen looks outdoors.
Chipset tier
By listed chipset, the vivo X300 FE sits in a higher performance tier. Its Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 is a flagship-class processor, while the Redmi’s MediaTek Dimensity 7025-Ultra is aimed at budget and mid-range phones. A listed chip name is not a speed result. Neither source gives benchmark scores, and this comparison does not include measured performance, thermal behaviour, or gaming tests. Expect the vivo to be faster on paper, and verify real-world speed with an independent review before treating that gap as proven.

Cameras
Main and ultrawide
Both phones use a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide, so the main lens and wide-angle shots are the closest match in this comparison. The Redmi adds a 2MP macro lens. Megapixel counts do not establish image quality, and the macro sensor’s low resolution means it should be treated as an extra rather than a serious close-up tool.

Telephoto and zoom
The biggest hardware difference is the vivo X300 FE’s dedicated 50MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilisation. The Redmi has no telephoto lens listed. vivo’s marketing describes the periscope telephoto as taking clear photos at 3x, 10x and 20x zoom, and vivo India attributes that claim to its AI True Clarity Engine. It is the manufacturer’s own description, not an independent image-quality result, so judge the zoom on sample photos before deciding it is the reason to pay more.

Front camera
The vivo lists a 50MP front camera against the Redmi’s 20MP. That is a higher-resolution sensor on paper, but it does not show that selfies will look better.
Battery and charging
The vivo X300 FE lists a 6500mAh typical battery, larger than the Redmi’s 5110mAh, and charges at up to 90W with FlashCharge, against the Redmi’s 45W maximum. The Redmi’s charger is sold separately, so budget for one if you do not already own a compatible charger. These are capacity and charging ratings. Neither listing gives real-world battery endurance or full charge times, so the difference in day-to-day battery life has not been established.

Storage and memory
The Redmi Note 14 SE 5G’s official specifications show a 6GB+128GB configuration, with virtual RAM options and a hybrid microSD slot, so storage can be expanded. The vivo X300 FE is offered with no expansion slot listed and in three configurations: 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. The ₹94,999 price applies to the 12GB+256GB version. If you expect to keep large video or photo libraries on the phone without a card, the vivo’s 256GB base storage is a real advantage, while the Redmi needs a microSD card for extra space.

Which phone fits which buyer
- Budget is the first filter. At the advertised ₹13,999 price, the Redmi Note 14 SE 5G is the only realistic option of the two. The vivo X300 FE costs several times more on every source checked.
- Choose the Redmi for a larger screen at low cost. Its 6.67-inch display and 5110mAh battery suit people who watch video a lot and do not need a flagship chip.
- Choose the vivo for a compact premium phone with zoom. The 6.31-inch body, Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, dedicated telephoto lens, 90W charging, and 256GB base storage are the reasons to spend the higher amount.
- Do not decide on specifications alone. Neither listing includes independent benchmarks, camera tests, or battery-life tests, so confirm the features that matter most to you in reviews before buying.
Before you buy
- Open the official product page for each model and note the price for the exact memory configuration you want.
- Check that the seller is authorised and the listing shows stock, since the 91mobiles snapshot showed the Redmi as out of stock.
- Compare any current discount with the MRP; the vivo’s ₹119,999 MRP and ₹94,999 selling price give a 12GB+256GB snapshot, not a permanent price.
- If storage matters, check whether the Redmi’s microSD expansion is enough for your use, or whether you need 256GB built in.
