The Redmi A7 Pro 5G has the larger published screen, higher camera resolutions and a slightly larger battery rating. The Lava Bold N2 5G carries the higher ingress-protection rating. At launch-date prices reported by Gadgets 360 in June 2026, the Redmi 4GB/64GB base model was ₹1,500 cheaper than the Lava 4GB/64GB. Those prices are dated, so the buying decision depends on what each phone costs at a retailer today.
This comparison is based on published specifications and reported launch prices. It does not include hands-on testing of either phone, so it cannot tell you which one takes better photos, lasts longer on a charge or runs apps more smoothly.
Where the specification data comes from
The Redmi figures come from Xiaomi India’s official product specification page for the Redmi A7 Pro 5G. That makes them manufacturer-stated values. The Lava figures come from Gadgets 360’s comparison of the two phones. No official Lava specification page was located, so the Lava values are secondary-source listings. Where a Lava value is not in that comparison, the table below says so rather than filling the gap.

Display: a larger panel, with limited detail on the Lava side
The Redmi’s 6.9-inch screen is 0.15 inches larger than the Lava’s 6.75-inch screen. That is a measurable difference in diagonal size, but it does not show how bright, sharp or colour-accurate either panel is. Xiaomi lists HD+ resolution and a 60/90/120Hz refresh range for the Redmi. The Lava comparison does not state its resolution or refresh rate, so a sharpness or smoothness comparison is not possible from the available evidence.

Cameras: stated resolution is not image quality
The Redmi lists a 32MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The Lava lists 13MP rear and 5MP front. On paper, the Redmi has higher resolution on both sensors.
Megapixel count describes how many pixels the sensor records. It does not measure lens quality, low-light performance, dynamic range, processing or colour. A 32MP sensor can produce a worse photo than a 13MP one, depending on the rest of the camera system. Neither specification sheet in the available evidence gives enough detail to judge photo quality, so treat the camera figures as a listing difference only.
Battery and charging: capacity is not runtime
The Redmi’s 6300mAh figure is labelled “typical” by Xiaomi. The Lava’s 6000mAh figure comes from a comparison listing with no such qualifier. The gap is 300mAh, about 5 percent of the Lava’s rating. Xiaomi also lists 15W maximum charging for the Redmi; the Lava’s charging speed is not stated in the comparison.

Battery capacity is a design input, not a result. How long either phone lasts depends on the screen’s refresh rate, the chipset’s efficiency, background activity and how the phone is used. No runtime test for either model was available.
Chipset: the names and clock speeds are not a performance verdict
Xiaomi describes the Redmi’s Unisoc T8300 5G as an octa-core chip with two 2.2GHz Cortex-A78 cores and six 2.0GHz Cortex-A55 cores, built on a 6nm process. Gadgets 360 lists the Lava as using the Unisoc T8200. No clock speeds for the T8200 appear in the comparison.
Clock speed and core layout do not reliably predict how fast a phone feels. Memory, storage, thermal limits and software all affect everyday speed. Both phones are listed with Unisoc chips, but the available specifications do not establish that one performs better in practice.

Ingress protection: what IP52 and IP64 test
The Redmi is listed at IP52 and the Lava at IP64. In the standard IEC 60529 code, the first digit covers protection against solids and the second covers liquids. IP52 means limited protection against dust and protection against dripping water when the device is tilted up to 15 degrees. IP64 means dust-tight protection and protection against splashing water from any direction.
These ratings describe conditions tested under controlled lab procedures. They do not show how a phone will hold up after drops, pocket wear, humidity or repeated exposure, and they do not establish overall durability. The IP difference is a real listed difference, but it is the only one of its kind in this comparison.
Software and update commitment
Xiaomi states that the Redmi A7 Pro 5G ships with Android 16 and HyperOS 3, and commits to four Android version updates and six years of security updates. The Lava comparison also lists Android 16 but does not state how long Lava will provide updates. If long-term support matters to you, the Redmi’s stated commitment is the only one available from the evidence.

Price difference: what the reported figures show
Gadgets 360 reported the following launch prices in an article updated June 8, 2026:
- Redmi A7 Pro 5G 4GB/64GB: ₹11,499
- Redmi A7 Pro 5G 4GB/128GB: ₹12,499
- Lava Bold N2 5G 4GB/64GB: ₹12,999
The like-for-like comparison is the 4GB/64GB base model. At those reported prices, the Redmi was ₹1,500 cheaper. The 4GB/128GB Redmi is ₹500 cheaper than the Lava 4GB/64GB, but that compares different storage sizes, and no Lava 4GB/128GB price was reported. These are launch-period reports, not current offers, and they do not show whether either phone has been discounted, is out of stock or is sold through a particular seller.

- Search the exact model and storage variant, such as “Redmi A7 Pro 5G 4GB 64GB” or “Lava Bold N2 5G 4GB 64GB.”
- Compare the listed price, any bank or exchange offer, and delivery charges, because the headline price alone can mislead.
- Confirm the seller and whether the listing is for the 5G variant in the storage size you want.
- Check that the listed price matches the storage configuration in the product title, since listings for other variants often appear in search results.
Which phone fits which buyer
- Choose the Redmi if you want the larger screen, the stated 120Hz refresh option, higher camera resolution figures, a 128GB storage option and the stated four-year Android update commitment, and if its current price is the lower of the two.
- Choose the Lava if the IP64 rating matters to you and its current price is close to or below the Redmi’s price for the same storage.
- Do not decide on megapixels, battery capacity or chipset names alone. The specifications show what each phone is listed with, not how it performs.
This comparison does not establish that either phone is better for photography, endurance or everyday performance. A hands-on comparison, or a review that tests both phones under the same conditions, would be needed to answer those questions.
