The realme P4R 5G has the stronger listed battery and refresh-rate specifications; the Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G has a slightly larger screen diagonal, stated software-update terms, and lower prices in the comparison snapshots cited here. Both India-market phones list the MediaTek Dimensity 6300. Which is the better buy depends on the live price for the same RAM and storage configuration and whether battery capacity or software support matters more to you.

How the displays compare
The Redmi’s stated 6.9-inch diagonal is slightly larger than the P4R’s 6.8 inches. The P4R, however, has the higher advertised refresh rate: 144 Hz versus up to 120 Hz on the Redmi. Both are LCD phones, and 91mobiles lists HD+ resolutions for each. Those figures alone do not establish which screen looks better; brightness, tuning, content, and viewing conditions also matter.

Battery and charging: P4R has the larger published figures
realme lists an 8,000 mAh battery and 45 W charging for the P4R. Xiaomi lists a 6,000 mAh typical battery and 33 W turbo charging for the Redmi. That gives the P4R a stated capacity advantage of 2,000 mAh and a higher charging-wattage rating. Capacity does not translate directly into a proportional increase in real-world usage time, and rated wattage is not a guaranteed charging time; results depend on conditions and the charger available in the relevant market.

Performance and cameras
Both manufacturers list the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, a 6 nm chipset. The shared chip name does not prove identical sustained performance: software, cooling, memory configuration, and workload can affect how a phone behaves. Compare the exact RAM and storage variants on sale rather than relying only on a headline configuration.
Both phones have a 50 MP headline rear-camera specification, but megapixel counts do not determine photo quality. The cited product pages do not provide a directly comparable, independently tested basis for declaring one camera better.

Software support and durability claims
Xiaomi states that the Redmi 15C 5G will receive 2 years of Android updates and 4 years of security updates. The reviewed realme India product page does not establish an exact update duration for the P4R, so a like-for-like support-period comparison cannot be made from these claims.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsXiaomi specifies IP64 dust and water resistance for the Redmi. realme advertises certified water and drop durability for the P4R, but the available product-page details do not confirm the same standardized ingress-protection rating. Treat the claims as different, not as equivalent certifications.

Price difference in dated comparison snapshots
Third-party comparison pages showed the Redmi below the P4R in the snapshots reviewed, but the listed P4R amount differed between sources:
| Source and date | Redmi 15C price shown | realme P4R price shown | Snapshot difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| 91mobiles, accessed October 7, 2026; Amazon India prices shown on its comparison page | ₹17,499 | ₹20,199 | ₹2,700, with P4R higher |
| Smartprix, page reported updated September 16, 2026 | ₹17,499 | ₹19,997 | ₹2,498, with P4R higher |
These are third-party listing snapshots, not manufacturer-set MSRPs or guaranteed current checkout prices. Offers, seller, stock, and configuration can change the amount. Check both phones at the same time and for matching RAM and storage before treating the difference as a buying advantage. realme also notes that its prices and availability may vary by market.

Which phone should you buy?
Choose the realme P4R 5G if
- You prioritize the larger stated battery and higher rated charging wattage.
- You want the higher advertised screen refresh rate.
Choose the Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G if
- You prefer its slightly larger stated screen diagonal.
- Xiaomi’s published Android and security update terms are important to your decision.
- The live price for your chosen configuration makes it the better value; the cited snapshots showed it costing less.
Neither the shared chipset nor the matching 50 MP headline camera figure settles performance or image quality. Choose based on the specification trade-offs that matter to you and the current offer for the exact variant.
