Choose Galaxy A17 if AMOLED is your priority
The comparison source lists the A17 with a smaller 6.7-inch Super AMOLED panel at 90Hz. That is a different display technology from Redmi’s LCD, so screen size and refresh rate alone do not determine which screen you will prefer. Capacity is not a battery-life test
Xiaomi rates the Redmi 15 battery at 7,000mAh typical capacity; the comparison source lists 5,000mAh for the Galaxy A17. Those capacities do not establish how long either phone lasts in the same real-world conditions. Xiaomi says its own endurance claims are based on Xiaomi Internal Labs and actual results may vary. Performance, storage and expansion
For Redmi 15, the processor depends on generation: Snapdragon 685 in the 4G model and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 5G in the 5G model. Avoid applying one variant’s performance or connectivity to the other. For a meaningful local comparison, match all of these details before deciding:
- Country and retailer, checked on the same day.
- 4G against 4G or 5G against 5G, after confirming local network-band compatibility.
- The same storage tier and, where available, the same RAM configuration.
- Whether the shown price includes delivery, taxes, discounts or a carrier condition.
Comparing a discounted 4G phone with a full-price 5G model, or different storage tiers, can create a misleading gap.
