The Redmi 15 5G specifies a 6.9-inch FHD+ panel with 2340 × 1080 resolution and a refresh rate up to 144Hz. The vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G has a 6.74-inch display with a refresh rate up to 120Hz. On listed resolution and maximum refresh rate, Redmi has the advantage.

Brightness is a separate measure: Xiaomi lists 850 nits peak/HBM, while vivo advertises 1200 nits HBM. Those figures are manufacturer claims and should not be treated as a direct, independently measured screen comparison. If outdoor visibility matters most, the listed HBM numbers favor vivo; the available information does not establish how the panels compare under matched conditions.
Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers tell you
Xiaomi specifies a 7000mAh typical battery and 33W charging for the Redmi 15 5G. vivo advertises a 6500mAh battery and 44W FlashCharge for the T5 Lite 44W 5G. Redmi therefore has the greater stated capacity, while vivo lists the higher charging wattage. Xiaomi also lists 18W reverse charging.
Capacity and charging wattage alone cannot establish which phone lasts longer or reaches a full charge sooner. That would require comparable tests using the same conditions and methods. Xiaomi’s India specifications state that a 33W charger is included in the box; package contents can vary by region, so check the India listing before buying.
Performance, cameras, and protection
Processor
The Redmi uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6s Gen 3, and the vivo uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300. Chipset names by themselves do not establish which phone is faster for apps or games. The cited sources do not provide a directly comparable controlled performance test.

Megapixel counts do not determine photo quality, and no comparable camera test is established here.
Dust and water protection
Redmi’s listed rating is IP64; vivo advertises IP65. These are different protection ratings, not a claim that either phone is waterproof. Follow each manufacturer’s care guidance and do not expose a device to water on the assumption that its rating guarantees safety in every situation.
Software support and weight
Xiaomi lists the Redmi 15 5G with HyperOS 2 based on Android 15 and commits to 2 years of OS updates plus 4 years of security updates. The vivo product page presents OriginOS-related features, but the captured official information does not establish an equivalent update commitment. 91mobiles reports 2 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates for vivo; that is a secondary-source claim rather than a directly comparable commitment established by the official page.

Xiaomi lists the Redmi at 217g and vivo lists the T5 Lite at 209g. The 8g difference is a specification-sheet comparison, not a measure of comfort in hand.

Price listings captured on 7 October 2026 showed the Redmi 15 5G starting at ₹21,499 on Xiaomi India’s phone catalogue, marked out of stock. vivo’s official India store showed ₹26,999 for the T5 Lite 44W 5G with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage. These are volatile listing snapshots for different configurations, so they do not support a reliable direct price difference.
Before comparing offers, match the RAM and storage variant, seller, stock status, and included offers on the same date. A listing price may change, and an out-of-stock starting price is not necessarily a price at which the phone can currently be purchased.
Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi 15 5G if its listed FHD+ resolution, 144Hz refresh ceiling, 7000mAh typical battery, or reverse charging best fits your priorities.
- Consider the vivo T5 Lite 44W 5G if you prioritize its advertised 1200-nit HBM figure, 44W FlashCharge, IP65 rating, or lower listed weight.
