The “imminent launch” is now history: Xiaomi presented the MIX Flip 2 and Pad 7S Pro 12.5 at its Beijing event on June 26, 2025. Xiaomi described both as products for the China market, so that announcement does not establish current availability or pricing elsewhere.
What were the MIX Flip 2 and Pad 7S Pro?
They were two different kinds of flagship devices announced at the same event. The MIX Flip 2 is a foldable phone, while the Pad 7S Pro 12.5 is a large-screen tablet. Xiaomi’s release provides launch specifications and China launch prices, not independent test results or current offers.

What did Xiaomi announce for the MIX Flip 2?
Xiaomi positioned the MIX Flip 2 around a compact foldable design, an outer screen intended to handle tasks without opening the phone, and a Leica-branded camera system. Its release lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 5,165 mAh battery and a 3D dual-VC cooling system.

Outer display and cameras
The external display measures 3.5 inches. Xiaomi said it supported more than 500 applications across categories including social media, music, video, navigation and shopping. That app count is Xiaomi’s launch claim, not an independent audit of app compatibility.
The main camera pairs a Light Fusion 800 sensor with a Leica Summilux optical lens, according to Xiaomi. The announcement does not establish how the camera performs in independent testing.
Size, colors and China configurations
Xiaomi listed the phone at 7.57 mm thick when unfolded and 199 g in weight. Announced colors were White, Purple, Green and Checkered Gold. China configurations were 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage, 12 GB with 512 GB, and 16 GB with 1 TB. The listed starting price was RMB 5,999 at launch.

What did Xiaomi announce for the Pad 7S Pro 12.5?
The Pad 7S Pro 12.5 is the tablet choice in this pair, with a 12.5-inch LCD at 3.2K resolution and up to 1,000 nits peak brightness. Xiaomi named its XRING O1 processor and HyperOS 2 as the tablet’s platform and operating system at launch.
Productivity features and accessories
Xiaomi listed Workstation mode, Global Search, AI Writing, AI Art with Mi Canvas and AI Calculator among the tablet’s software features. The announcement also named the Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Focus Keyboard, Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Keyboard, Xiaomi Focus Pen and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro Cover as compatible accessories. Battery, charging and design
The announced battery capacity was 10,610 mAh, with 120 W HyperCharge and 7.5 W reverse charging. Xiaomi listed a thickness of 5.8 mm and a weight of 576 g, or 585 g for the Matte Glass version.
Xiaomi announced five color or finish options. Its launch pricing began at RMB 3,299, with the Matte Glass version listed at RMB 4,099; these are China launch figures, not current regional prices.

They are not direct performance competitors: one is a phone and the other a tablet. Choose based on the role you need a device to fill.
- Consider the MIX Flip 2 if you want a foldable phone and value its outer-display tasks and announced camera hardware.
- Consider the Pad 7S Pro 12.5 if a larger screen and tablet-oriented productivity features matter more, or if you plan to use one of the accessories Xiaomi named.
The announcement alone cannot establish which performs better in everyday use. It also does not confirm current international availability, regional prices, software-support duration or present-day feature availability.
What is confirmed about the launch?
Xiaomi’s post-event release says the Beijing event took place on June 26, 2025, and lists both products among those presented. HotHardware had described the launch as upcoming in an article dated June 24, 2025; that pre-event framing is why “imminent launch” is no longer accurate. Gizmochina’s June 23, 2025 report also identified June 26 as the event date. For the announced specifications, Xiaomi’s release is the relevant source rather than pre-launch reporting.
