Xbox’s October 8–11, 2026 Free Play Days lineup includes seven games, but they are not all unlimited, free-to-everyone downloads. Xbox Wire’s announcement lists one offer open to all Xbox members, two that require a Game Pass membership, and four timed trials. It does not specify an exact end time or time zone for the event.
Which games are included in Xbox Free Play Days?
Xbox Wire announced these seven titles for the October 8–11, 2026 event:
- Screamer
- Family Man
- ARC Raiders
- High On Life 2
- S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl
- Little Nightmares III
- Rogue Waters
The offer categories differ by game, so check the access terms before choosing what to install.

When does the offer end?
Xbox gives the event window as Thursday, October 8 through Sunday, October 11, 2026. It does not state a cutoff hour or time zone. If you plan to start a trial near the end of the event, check the live game listing rather than assuming access lasts until a particular hour on October 11. Can you buy the games at a discount?
Xbox says some titles have limited-time purchase discounts and that players can keep their Gamerscore and achievements. Its announcement lists ARC Raiders at 50% off through October 15, and gives discounted prices for Screamer, Family Man, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, and Rogue Waters. Those offers are not guaranteed in every region: Xbox cautions that discounts, percentages, and title availability may vary by title and region. Check the Microsoft Store in your region for the current price and availability before buying.
Is one of these games really “2025’s Best Multiplayer Game”?
The headline phrase “2025’s Best Multiplayer Game” is not substantiated by the Xbox announcement. The available source material does not identify an award body or category for that claim, so it should not be treated as a verified award. Xbox’s post does not provide a neutral review or ranking of the seven games.
