Wiz announced on February 27, 2023, that it had raised $300 million at a $10 billion valuation. Lightspeed Venture Partners led the round, with existing investors Greenoaks Capital Partners and Index Ventures participating. That $10 billion figure was a 2023 funding-round valuation—not Wiz’s current standalone valuation.
How much did Wiz raise, and who invested?
Wiz said the round totaled $300 million and was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, alongside existing investors Greenoaks Capital Partners and Index Ventures. The company described the financing and valuation in its February 27, 2023 announcement. These are company-reported financing terms; the announcement does not establish a valuation methodology or investor returns.

At the time, Wiz described its platform as an agentless, API-centered cloud security offering with a Security Graph for correlating attack paths. The company said its 2022 expansion covered cloud security posture management (CSPM), cloud-native application protection (CNAPP), container and Kubernetes security, data security posture management (DSPM), external attack surface management (EASM), and cloud detection and response (CDR).
How did Wiz’s valuation and ownership change afterward?
The $10 billion figure belongs to the 2023 financing. Later announcements distinguish a subsequent private funding valuation from the value Google announced for its acquisition agreement:
#1 Best Overall
| Date | Event | Announced figure |
|---|---|---|
| February 27, 2023 | Wiz funding round | $300 million raised at a $10 billion valuation |
| May 7, 2024 | Wiz funding round | $1 billion raised at a $12 billion valuation |
| March 18, 2025 | Google acquisition agreement | $32 billion announced transaction value, subject to closing adjustments; an all-cash deal |
| March 11, 2026 | Acquisition completed | Google Cloud announced completion; no new standalone valuation stated |
Wiz announced the 2024 round at a $12 billion valuation in its May 7, 2024 announcement. In March 2025, Google announced an agreement to acquire Wiz for $32 billion, subject to closing adjustments and customary conditions, including regulatory approvals. That amount was an acquisition transaction value, not a private funding-round valuation. Google’s March 18, 2025 announcement described the proposed deal as all-cash.
What is Wiz worth now?
Google Cloud said the acquisition was complete on March 11, 2026, and that Wiz would join Google Cloud while retaining the Wiz brand. The public figures above establish Wiz’s 2024 private-round valuation and Google’s announced 2025 transaction value; they do not establish a current standalone market valuation after the acquisition. Google’s completion announcement confirms the close, not a new independent valuation.

Google says Wiz will continue supporting major cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud, as part of Google Cloud. It describes Wiz’s platform as connecting code, cloud, and runtime, mapping application architecture, permissions, data flows, and runtime behavior to identify exposures and attack paths. Google also says the portfolio is expanding into AI security. These are Google’s descriptions of the business and product direction, not independent evaluations of effectiveness.
