WISeKey reported unaudited revenue of $11.4 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026, up about 116% from $5.3 million a year earlier. Gross profit and margin also improved, but operating loss grew to $40.9 million and net loss to $36.4 million. Management linked the sales increase to core products, initial Quantix Edge revenue and acquired-business contributions; it said investment in development and strategic initiatives contributed to higher losses.
What WISeKey reported for the first half of 2026
WISeKey International Holding Ltd issued its results on September 30, 2026, for the six months ended June 30. The figures are unaudited. The company’s release reports these amounts in millions of U.S. dollars:

Why revenue and gross margin increased, according to management
On the October 1 earnings call, CFO John O’Hara attributed revenue growth to several sources rather than a single product or market:

- Consolidation of acquired businesses for portions of the reporting period: six months of IC’Alps revenue and one month each from Miraex and Wecan Group SA. O’Hara said Miraex and Wecan were acquired on June 1, 2026.
O’Hara also attributed the higher gross margin to a change in revenue mix and growing contributions from higher-value technology, semiconductor and engineering activity. That is management’s explanation of the results, not an independently established causal breakdown.
Why losses widened despite higher gross profit
Gross profit increased by about $3.6 million, while the operating loss widened by about $13.6 million and the net loss by about $14.1 million, using the rounded comparison figures in the release. The increase in gross profit therefore did not offset the company’s larger expenses and other costs during the period.

O’Hara said the wider operating and net losses principally reflected investment across strategic platforms and initiatives. He cited post-quantum semiconductors, quantum technologies, secure infrastructure, satellite initiatives, product development, certification, engineering and planned corporate transactions. These are management’s stated explanations, not proof that each investment has generated or will generate sales.
The call also reported H1 research and development expense of $9.1 million net of stock-based compensation, compared with $4.0 million on the same basis in H1 2025. Management attributed much of the increase to the consolidation of IC’Alps.

Cash position and what the outlook does—and does not—say
WISeKey reported approximately $495 million in cash and restricted cash at June 30, 2026, with minimal debt, in its September 30 results release. This balance-sheet figure does not change the distinction between the period’s reported losses and future commercial prospects.
Full-year growth guidance
The company projected FY 2026 revenue growth of 50%–100% year over year. This is management guidance, not H1 performance or a guarantee; it depends on results in the remainder of the year.

SEALSQ commercial pipeline
WISeKey said SEALSQ’s commercial pipeline exceeded $225 million through 2029, including more than $100 million associated with post-quantum projects. The company described this as a pipeline estimate as of September 22, 2026—not recognized revenue or contracted outcomes. Its release warns that conversion, customer validation, technical integration and other commercial risks could affect whether and when those opportunities produce sales.

How to read the headline growth against the losses
The first-half figures show a business with sharply higher reported sales and gross profit, a wider gross margin, and substantially larger operating and net losses. Management says new and acquired business contributed to growth while investments across products and strategic platforms contributed to spending. The figures alone do not establish whether that investment will produce sustainable profitability.
WISeKey CEO Carlos Moreira characterized the period as a commercialization turning point, saying, “2026 is the year the technologies and investments we have built over many years are coming together as one commercial ecosystem, and WISeKey is entering the most important commercialization phase in its history.” This is management’s view of the company’s position, not a reported financial outcome. The company’s investor financial-reports page lists a 2026 Half Year Report.
