Wipro’s share price history depends on which listing you mean. Wipro Limited’s Indian shares trade on the NSE as WIPRO and on the BSE as 507685, quoted in Indian rupees. Its US-traded American Depositary Share (ADS) trades on the NYSE as WIT, quoted in US dollars. These are separate quotes with different currencies, quote units and trading hours, so a chart from one cannot be compared with another without adjustment.
This guide explains which listing and currency to use, where dated price records are published, which 2026 corporate events change how a price history should be read, and how to calculate a return that holds up. It does not state a current share price or a period return; those figures change daily and should be pulled from exchange records on the day you read this.

Which Wipro listing and currency you are looking at
Before comparing any numbers, fix the listing. The three quotes below describe the same company but are not interchangeable.
| Listing | Code | Quote currency | What the price represents |
|---|---|---|---|
| NSE (National Stock Exchange of India) | WIPRO | Indian rupees (INR) | Wipro Limited ordinary equity on the NSE |
| BSE (BSE Limited) | 507685 | Indian rupees (INR) | Wipro Limited ordinary equity on the BSE; can differ slightly from the NSE price at any given moment |
| NYSE (New York Stock Exchange) | WIT | US dollars (USD) | American Depositary Share of Wipro Limited, traded in US trading hours |
Because the NYSE quote is in dollars and trades in US hours, a WIT chart reflects both the company’s share value and the rupee-dollar exchange rate. Indian-listed prices are set during Indian sessions. Do not place an NSE closing price and a WIT closing price on the same line of a chart without converting currency and aligning dates.
Where to get authoritative price records
- NSE quote page for WIPRO. The official page reports prices in rupees and links to historical price-volume archives. Use these archives as the primary source for NSE closing prices over any window.
- BSE records for scrip code 507685. Use BSE’s own historical data for the BSE line, and treat it as a separate series from NSE.
- NYSE data for WIT. Use the historical quote data for the NYSE listing through your broker or a market-data provider that states its adjustment method. The sources reviewed for this article did not identify a specific NYSE archive, so confirm the provider’s dates and currency before relying on it.
- Wipro Limited investor relations. The company’s investor-relations area carries quarterly results, annual reports, operating metrics, shareholder services, and buyback and dividend information. Use it to date events and audited figures. It is not a source for share prices.
Corporate events on the 2026 timeline
Events that distribute cash or change the share count affect how a price history should be read. The table lists the 2026 events that are documented in the sources reviewed here.
| Date | Event | Effect on interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| April 16, 2026 | Board approves a proposed buyback | Subject to shareholder approval; sets the offer terms |
| June 11–17, 2026 | Buyback offer period listed in the NSE circular | Window has closed; the fixed offer price is not a market quote |
| July 16, 2026 | Q1 FY2026-27 results released; ₹2 interim dividend declared | Dividend is excluded from any price-only chart |
| October 15, 2026 | Second-quarter results announcement, per Wipro’s filing index | Will update the September-quarter guidance discussed below |
The proposed buyback at ₹250 per share
On April 16, 2026, Wipro’s board approved a proposal to buy back up to 600 million equity shares, stated in the filing as 5.7% of total paid-up equity share capital, at ₹250 per share. The aggregate amount was capped at ₹150 billion, and the proposal was subject to shareholder approval. The NSE circular describes the offer as a fixed-price buyback with an offer period of June 11–17, 2026.
The ₹250 figure is the buyback price. It is not the closing price on any exchange and should not be used as a benchmark for where the stock traded. Whether an individual holding is accepted depends on the offer’s allocation terms, which are set out in the offer documents rather than in the summary here.
The ₹2 interim dividend
In July 2026, Wipro declared an interim dividend of ₹2 per equity share, or per ADS. A chart of closing prices shows only how the quoted price moved; it omits this cash payment. The sources reviewed for this article do not give the record and payment dates, so confirm them in Wipro’s dividend notice before calculating a total return.
Company results are not a stock return
Operating results describe the business in a period. They do not measure what a shareholder earned from the share price over that period, and they do not establish why the price moved. Keep both in view when you read the figures below.
Quarter ended June 30, 2026
Wipro’s Q1 FY2026-27 release, dated July 16, 2026, reports the following year-on-year changes. Reported and constant-currency measures are shown separately where the release distinguishes them.
| Metric | Quarter ended June 30, 2026 | Year-on-year change |
|---|---|---|
| Gross revenue | ₹244.8 billion | Up 10.6% |
| IT services revenue | $2,614.5 million | Up 1.0% reported; up 0.9% in constant currency |
| IT services operating margin | 16.0% | Down 1.2 percentage points |
| Net income | ₹33.6 billion | Up 0.6% |
| Earnings per share | ₹3.20 | Up 0.6% |
Wipro’s chief executive and managing director, Srini Pallia, said in the July 16, 2026 release: “Clients are moving beyond technology modernization to AI-enabled operating models that improve quality, resilience, and productivity. Wipro’s consulting-led, AI-powered approach helps clients embed AI at the core of their business, and these engagements reflect both the breadth of our capabilities and the trust clients place in us as a transformation partner.” This is management’s view of the business, not a forecast of share-price performance.

The same release gave IT Services revenue guidance of $2,574 million to $2,627 million for the September 2026 quarter. In constant-currency terms, that range corresponds to a sequential change of −1.5% to +0.5%. This is a forecast issued in July 2026, not an observed result. Wipro’s filing index shows its second-quarter results scheduled for October 15, 2026, and those results will supersede the guidance.
Full-year FY2025-26 audited figures
The audited annual figures give the longer operating context. All amounts are consolidated and in ₹ million.
| Measure | FY2024-25 | FY2025-26 | Change (calculated from the reported figures) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Consolidated sales | ₹890,884 million | ₹926,240 million | About +4.0% |
| Consolidated net profit | ₹132,180 million | ₹132,655 million | About +0.4% |
These are annual operating totals. Sales rose faster than profit over the year, but the figures alone do not explain any specific movement in the share price, and they should not be read as a cause of one without event-level market evidence.

A return figure is only meaningful when its listing, dates and method are stated. Use this sequence:
- Choose one listing: NSE WIPRO, BSE 507685, or NYSE WIT. Do not mix them in one series.
- Record the currency. NSE and BSE prices are in rupees; WIT is in dollars. If you compare the two, convert both series at the same dates and state the exchange rate you used. A dollar-based WIT return includes the rupee-dollar movement.
- Fix the start and end dates and use the exchange closing price on each date. Note that Indian and US sessions close at different times and on different holidays.
- Calculate the price-only return as (end price − start price) ÷ start price × 100. This ignores dividends.
- For a total return, add the cash dividends whose ex-dates fall inside the window. State whether dividends were reinvested or simply added, because the two methods give different results.
- Check whether the price series is adjusted for splits, bonus issues or other corporate actions, and what adjustment factor the provider used. Compare unadjusted with adjusted series only if you know how each was built.
- Report short and long windows separately. Short-period moves are dominated by market noise, and multi-year returns should show their endpoints.
Illustration with hypothetical numbers, not Wipro data: a stock closes at ₹1,000 on the start date, closes at ₹1,100 on the end date, and pays a ₹20 dividend within the window. The price-only return is (1,100 − 1,000) ÷ 1,000 × 100 = 10.0%. Adding the dividend and not reinvesting it gives (1,100 + 20 − 1,000) ÷ 1,000 × 100 = 12.0%.
Quick Recap
What this guide does not establish
- A current share price, a 52-week range, or any period return for WIPRO, 507685 or WIT. These must be taken from exchange records on the day you use them.
- Any causal link between the 2026 results, the buyback or the dividend and the share-price path.
- Whether the September 2026 guidance was met. The October 15, 2026 results will address this.
