Steam describes it as a survival game played at your own pace. That wording captures its intended flexibility, but it does not mean survival pressure is absent: the official descriptions also frame the game around exploring and gathering in a winter woodland. Calling Winter Burrow a quaint woodland counterpart to Don’t Starve conveys a general expectation of survival and crafting in a stylized world. It is not evidence that the games share particular systems. The official Winter Burrow descriptions establish exploration, resource gathering, crafting, home restoration, and a single-player scope; they do not establish its difficulty, hunger mechanics, combat, world generation, or detailed world structure.

Steam lists Winter Burrow as single-player. The other comparison points are not settled by the official descriptions cited here, so it is safer to treat the title as its own cozy survival game than to expect a direct Don’t Starve reskin.
