To enable or disable Narrator’s reported Auto zoom out option in Windows 11, open Settings > Accessibility > Narrator > Math reading > Math navigation, then switch Auto zoom out on or off. This is a math-navigation setting, not a control for Windows Magnifier or screen magnification.
Change the Auto zoom out setting
- Press Windows logo key + I to open Settings.
- Select Accessibility, then Narrator.
- Under the Math section, open Math reading.
- Under Math navigation, switch Auto zoom out on or off.
The Windows 11 Forum tutorial and Geek Rewind describe this Settings path. They do not describe a separate apply or save step. Microsoft documents Windows logo key + Ctrl + N as a shortcut to Narrator settings generally, but its customization page does not specifically document Auto zoom out: Microsoft’s Narrator customization guide.
What Auto zoom out is reported to do
The third-party instructions describe the option as returning Narrator to the preceding or following expression after it reads a nested part of a mathematical expression. Leave it on if you want that reported automatic return; turn it off if you prefer Narrator not to return automatically. The exact behavior is described by the third-party sources, not confirmed on the Microsoft support pages cited here: Windows 11 Forum tutorial and Geek Rewind instructions.

It reports expanded language and browser support from build 26340.9577, listing English (United States), English (United Kingdom), Traditional Chinese, Finnish, German, and Spanish. For web content, it names Microsoft Edge Stable 153.0.4234.32 and later and Chrome Stable 153.0.8010.18 and later.
