If a Samsung Art Store work looks cropped, try changing its matte in Art Mode; this changes the presentation, not necessarily the artwork’s underlying crop. If it looks blurry, compare it with another work: Samsung’s support guidance does not describe a universal fix for softness in a particular Art Store image. First check whether you’re viewing an Art Store work or a personal photo, because the troubleshooting differs.
Why does Samsung Art Store artwork look cropped?
A different matte style or color may make the displayed work look better framed, but Samsung’s instructions describe this as a presentation control—not a way to reveal parts of the source image that are not included. The steps below are documented by Samsung US; menu labels and availability can vary by model and region.
- Open the artwork in Art Mode.
- Press Up on the OneRemote.
- Choose Matte, then try another matte style and color.
- Save the change.
Samsung describes the matte control as a way to change the style and color to suit the displayed artwork (Samsung US Art Mode instructions). If the same work still appears cut off, preview it and compare another selection. That can help you tell whether the appearance is limited to one work, but it is a practical check rather than a Samsung-documented repair procedure.
Why does the art look blurry on my Samsung Frame?
Samsung’s cited support pages explain how to use Art Store and Art Mode, but they do not establish a resolution setting or a universal remedy for a specific work that looks soft. Preview that work and compare another one. If only one selection looks soft, it may be a work-specific issue; that comparison does not confirm the cause or guarantee a fix.

If several works look blurry, contact Samsung support for your country with your exact TV model and model year. The available options and instructions differ by model and region, so use the local support page rather than assuming another country’s menu path applies.
Is it an Art Store work or a personal photo?
The distinction matters. Art Store works are selected from Samsung’s catalogue; personal photos are images you import. Samsung documents a USB import workflow for personal photos, while photo format and size recommendations depend on the particular TV and market. Do not apply personal-photo specifications as a fix for an Art Store work.

How to fix a personal photo that looks cropped or blurry
Check the photo against your TV’s guidance
Check the exact model’s Samsung support or product page for supported formats, aspect ratio, and recommended dimensions before importing. For example, Samsung Canada’s product page for the 32-inch LS03C lists JPEG support and recommends personal photos at 1920 × 1080, 16:9 (Samsung Canada 32-inch LS03C product page). That is guidance for this listed product, not a specification for every Frame TV.
An older Samsung Frame catalogue recommends 3840 × 2160 for personal photos (Samsung The Frame catalogue). The recommendations differ, so there is no single image size established here for all generations. Follow the guidance for your exact model and market. A source image with a different aspect ratio or insufficient resolution may not display as intended, but the cited Samsung pages do not promise a particular result for every photo.

Import the photo using the documented workflow
- Copy the photo to a USB drive.
- Connect the drive to the TV’s One Connect Box.
- Use the TV’s Art Mode photo-import controls to select the image and save it to My Collection.
Samsung’s US support page documents USB import and saving selected photos to My Collection; consult the instructions for your model if its controls differ (Samsung US Art Mode instructions).

Menu paths, settings, and Art Store availability are not universal across Samsung TVs. Samsung UK says its Art Store guidance depends on the TV’s year and model, and describes availability on The Frame and QLED 2024 Q60 models and above for that regional guide—not as a global compatibility rule (Samsung UK Art Store guide). Samsung Canada likewise notes that its Art Mode guide applies to Canadian TVs and that screens and settings can vary for models sold elsewhere (Samsung Canada Art Mode guide). Check the support page for your country and exact model when a setting is missing or named differently.
