Kofyr has reportedly been barred from Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) tournaments and other Psyonix-affiliated competitions through the end of 2027. Esports.gg reports that Psyonix cited a violation of code of conduct section 7.1.3. Coverage links the case to allegations about conduct around the 2026 RLCS World Championship, but the reported ruling does not describe the underlying behavior in detail.
What Psyonix reportedly decided
Esports.gg quotes the Rocket League Esports account as saying Kofyr was banned from RLCS tournaments and all additional Psyonix-affiliated competitions until the end of 2027 for violating code of conduct section 7.1.3. The report describes the ruling as brief. Because the original Psyonix post was not directly retrieved, the quoted terms are available here through secondary reporting: Esports.gg’s report.
That reported sanction concerns eligibility for competitions. It does not establish that Kofyr was banned from playing Rocket League or that his game account was suspended.

What coverage says happened
Sheep Esports reports that public discussion after the 2026 RLCS World Championship referred to an incident at an event after-party. Its coverage recounts allegations and comments from community members, as well as Kofyr’s response. These accounts provide context for the ruling, but they should not be presented as findings stated by Psyonix: the reported ruling itself gives a rule-section citation, not a detailed account of the conduct. See Sheep Esports’ report.

Kofyr’s reported apology
Sheep Esports reports that Kofyr apologized on September 28, 2026, saying, “I want to sincerely apologize for making anyone uncomfortable with my behavior.” He also said he had contacted people directly and planned to seek professional help. Those statements describe what he said at the time; the available reporting does not verify whether he later completed those steps.
What section 7.1.3 means—and what is unknown
The reported ruling identifies section 7.1.3 as the provision Kofyr violated, but the exact text of the contemporaneous RLCS rulebook provision was not retrieved. It would therefore be misleading to assign that section a specific definition based on another rulebook or on Rocket League’s general player policy.

Rocket League’s Code of Conduct says Epic Community Rules apply in the game and lists prohibited conduct including bullying and harassment. It describes possible consequences ranging from warnings and loss of social features to permanent account bans. That general policy does not establish the meaning of RLCS section 7.1.3 or the detailed terms of this competitive ruling.

Epic’s support pages describe account enforcement separately from tournament eligibility. The account-ban guidance says temporary game or chat bans in the general system can last up to 30 days, while the harassment-ban guidance discusses escalating penalties for severe language. Neither page says that Kofyr received an account ban. The case reported by esports outlets is a ban from RLCS and Psyonix-affiliated competitions.

Rocket League’s June 11, 2020 community statement says players can use the in-game Report Player button to flag inappropriate online behavior. It says players are notified after a report is reviewed and action is taken. This is general reporting guidance, not evidence about how Psyonix handled Kofyr’s case: A Message To Our Community.
