In a January 2022 interview, NAGA co-founder and CEO Benjamin Bilski argued that trading could become more social through trader-to-trader interaction, education and automated trade copying. That was his vision for NAGA—not an independently established forecast that social trading will dominate, or evidence that copying other traders improves returns.
What did Benjamin Bilski mean by social trading?
In an interview published by TechBullion on January 24, 2022, Bilski described NAGA’s ambition as bringing a range of investor needs together in one account. He envisioned trading alongside communication, education, events, payments and a card, likening the idea to “Facebook in the trading industry.” That comparison was Bilski’s aspiration, not an independent assessment of the platform’s reach or quality.
The interview presented NAGA as a German social-trading platform that had started as an online multi-asset broker in 2015. TechBullion’s article listed more than 950 trading instruments and described offerings including forex, cryptocurrencies, stocks, commodities, ETFs and CFDs. Those are descriptions published in 2022, not a definitive account of what is currently available.

The quote captures the premise: trading might feel more accessible and participatory when users can observe other investors and interact with a community. It remains his view, rather than a demonstrated outcome.

How does NAGA’s social-trading model work?
Following and copying traders
The interview’s central feature was Autocopy: a user selects a trader and automatically copies that person’s trades. Bilski presented the feature as a way for less experienced users to learn from more experienced ones. He also said popular investors could earn copy bonuses. Neither the interview nor that description establishes that a copied strategy is profitable, appropriate for a follower, or less risky than trading independently.
NAGA’s current German-language social-trading page describes a broader community experience in which users can connect, collaborate, and share analysis, trade ideas and live commentary. It identifies follower, leader and creator roles and says users can stop copying. These are NAGA’s current product descriptions; they are not independent evidence of performance.
Education and participation
Bilski framed social features as a way to make trading more approachable, particularly to younger generations. Seeing other traders’ activity or discussing ideas may offer context, but exposure to someone else’s decisions is not the same as financial education or a personal recommendation. The interview provides no evidence that younger users, or users generally, achieve better results through social investing.

- As a day trader, you can live and work anywhere in the world. You can decide when to work and when not to work.
- You only answer to yourself. That is the life of the successful day trader. Many people aspire to it, but very few succeed. Day trading is not gambling or an online poker game.
- To be successful at day trading you need the right tools and you need to be motivated, to work hard, and to persevere.
Other services and NAGA Coin
Bilski’s 2022 vision included payments and a card alongside trading and community features. He also said using NAGA Coin to pay social-trading fees could reduce them by more than 50%, with other token uses planned for the future. Those statements describe his claims at the time; the interview does not establish that this discount or the planned utilities are current offers.
Does social trading make investing safer or more successful?
The sources reviewed do not establish that social or copy trading improves returns, reduces risk, or will become the dominant way to trade assets. Copying another person transfers neither that trader’s objectives nor their financial circumstances to the follower. A strategy that suits one investor may be unsuitable for someone with a different time horizon, risk tolerance or ability to absorb losses.
NAGA’s current page explicitly warns that copy trading involves risk. It cautions that a copier may follow an inexperienced or unprofessional trader, or one whose aims or financial situation differ from their own. A user can stop copying, according to the company, but that does not undo trades already executed or remove the market risk of positions held.

What does NAGA currently offer—and what figures need context?
NAGA’s current German-language company page, accessed October 5, 2026, lists more than 1,000 CFDs across forex, indices, commodities, stocks and crypto, as well as more than 3,000 real stocks and ETFs. It also markets charting, analysis and investing features. These are company-reported product counts and descriptions; availability can change and may differ by country.
The page’s headline says NAGA is trusted by more than 2.6 million users, but a lower-page community counter displays a conflicting figure of 0.6 million-plus amid other malformed counters. Because the page is internally inconsistent, its user total should not be treated as settled. Separately, Bilski told TechBullion in January 2022 that NAGA had more than one million customers in over 100 countries. That is a historical statement by the CEO, not a current, independently verified count.
What are the risks of NAGA CFDs?
CFDs are leveraged products: leverage can magnify losses as well as gains, and NAGA’s current page warns that losses can occur rapidly. The page displays a warning that 77.41% of retail investor accounts lose money when trading CFDs with this provider. This is the percentage in NAGA Markets Europe Ltd’s displayed warning when the German-language page was accessed on October 5, 2026; it can change and should be checked against the current disclosure before relying on it.

The distinction between CFDs and real assets matters. NAGA’s page lists CFDs and real stocks and ETFs as separate categories; a reader should check what instrument a specific trade involves rather than assuming every asset listing represents direct ownership. The page’s headline instrument counts also do not mean every instrument is available to every user.
What did Bilski say about regulation and popular investors?
Bilski said he was open to further regulation and argued that regulation could support security and fairer user experiences. This records his position in the 2022 interview; it does not establish the protections a particular customer receives or that the platform’s services are regulated uniformly around the world.

He also described becoming a “Popular Investor” as a matter of trading well, building trust and attracting an audience. That is his account of NAGA’s program, not independent validation of any participant’s skill or evidence that a popular trader’s future results will match past activity.

Which NAGA entity serves a customer depends on location
NAGA’s current page identifies NAGA Markets Europe Ltd as operating under Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission authorization, license 204/13. It also lists separate entities for South Africa, the UAE and Seychelles, and says the European entity serves EEA residents except those in Belgium. The company notes that restrictions vary by region. A regulatory authorization or product description tied to one entity should not be read as applying everywhere: customers need to confirm the legal entity, eligibility and applicable terms for their own country.
So, is the future of asset trading social?
Bilski’s interview makes a clear case for NAGA’s product vision: combine market access with communication, education and the ability to copy another trader. NAGA’s current site continues to promote community and copy-trading features. But the title’s prediction remains a vision, not a proven industry trajectory. Social features can change how people encounter trading; they do not establish that trading becomes safer, more profitable or suitable for everyone.
