Nadeshot drew criticism after posting a reported AI-generated promotion for Roobet casino streams on October 1, 2026—one day after 100 Thieves apologized over AI-assisted artwork in a RuneScape merchandise collaboration. The sequence raised questions about the timing and about pairing AI-made advertising with gambling content. The reports do not establish that 100 Thieves commissioned or approved Nadeshot’s promotion.

What happened, and when?

Two reports published October 2, 2026 describe events that unfolded on consecutive days:

  • September 30: 100 Thieves apologized for AI use in artwork for a merchandise collaboration tied to Jagex’s RuneScape, according to Sportskeeda.
  • October 1: Nadeshot posted a promotion for a week of Roobet streams alongside a video the reports describe as AI-generated.
  • October 2: Insider Gaming and Sportskeeda reported criticism of the promotion and its timing.

That closeness is central to the story: the Roobet post came a day after the organization’s apology. The reports do not quantify the post’s reach or show whether the critical responses they selected represent Nadeshot’s wider audience. Insider Gaming; Sportskeeda.

What was the 100 Thieves RuneScape merchandise controversy?

The controversy involved 100 Thieves merchandise created in collaboration with Jagex, the company behind RuneScape. Insider Gaming reproduces the organization’s apology as saying: The design clearly had AI in it, and we missed it.

The outlet also reproduces a broader statement that 100 Thieves’ identity is rooted in the work of designers, artists, creators, and gamers, and that AI has no place in its apparel design. It says Jagex shared that principle and would not have approved AI use. These quotations are wording reported by Insider Gaming; the original statement was not independently checked for this account.

Sportskeeda reports that a designer used AI during a hurried final edit and that a sample entered production for a photoshoot. Those process details are the outlet’s account, rather than independently verified production records.

Was Nadeshot’s Roobet casino ad AI-generated?

Insider Gaming and Sportskeeda describe the promotional video as AI-generated. Insider Gaming reproduces a post attributed to Nadeshot promoting a full week of Roobet streams, saying he would stream eight to ten hours daily for eight days and was going live on Kick. It dates that post to October 1, 2026. The original post was not independently checked here, so the wording and date are attributed to the outlet.

The promotion concerned Nadeshot’s Roobet gambling streams. That is the relevant connection to casino advertising; the reports do not establish that 100 Thieves commissioned or approved the video.

Why did the promotion draw criticism?

The reports describe criticism on two related grounds: the video’s reported use of AI, and its promotion of gambling content immediately after 100 Thieves had apologized for AI use in its apparel design. Insider Gaming reproduces comments including “I have lost so much respect for you, man” and “AI slop and getting your fans addicted to gambling. What a combo.” Sportskeeda also quotes critical posts.

Those examples show the kinds of objections reported, not how many people shared them. The available coverage does not establish that the response was universal, represented a majority of followers, or had a measured effect on Nadeshot or 100 Thieves.

What the reports do—and do not—establish

  • Reported: 100 Thieves apologized on September 30 over AI-assisted artwork in its RuneScape merchandise collaboration; Nadeshot’s Roobet promotion followed on October 1.
  • Reported: The promotion included a video described as AI-generated, and outlets quoted viewers criticizing both its AI use and gambling content.
  • Not established by these reports: The scale or representativeness of the reaction, the audience demographics, or any organizational role by 100 Thieves in Nadeshot’s casino promotion.

The episode is best understood as a timing-and-accountability story: an organization’s stated rule for its apparel collided in public discussion with an individual’s reported promotion of an AI-made casino ad. The available reports do not show that the two were the same project or governed by the same approval process.
