There is no confirmed explanation in the available reporting for why Rahul Gandhi has not held Chhatron Ki Goonj in Kerala. The question was raised by Rajeev Chandrashekhar, whom Hindustan Times identified as BJP’s Kerala unit chief. He challenged Gandhi over paper leaks and Kerala Public Service Commission candidates whom he said had not received promised jobs.

What is Chhatron Ki Goonj?

Hindustan Times described Chhatron Ki Goonj as a Congress student movement event focused on paper leaks, exam irregularities and rising fees. Its report, published October 1, 2026, does not establish that a Kerala event had been formally scheduled or cancelled.

What did Rajeev Chandrashekhar say?

Chandrashekhar asked why Gandhi was not holding the event in Kerala, where he said there were paper leaks and Kerala Public Service Commission exam candidates were not receiving promised jobs. Those are Chandrashekhar’s stated criticisms; the report does not independently verify the claims about the candidates or the wider allegations he made about unemployment, corruption or political collusion.

Did Rahul Gandhi or Congress explain why?

The October 1 report does not include a direct response from Gandhi or Congress explaining why Chhatron Ki Goonj had not taken place in Kerala. It therefore provides no verified motive, scheduling explanation or account of a decision to cancel the event. The reason remains unknown from this reporting.

What about Gandhi’s Satyagraha platform?

A separate Hindustan Times report published October 3, 2026, said Gandhi launched a digital Satyagraha platform to map issue-based protests, including those concerning education and exams. That report does not connect the platform to Chandrashekhar’s earlier challenge or establish that it answers why Chhatron Ki Goonj was not held in Kerala.
