If your Jujutsu Kaisen: Phantom Parade team keeps losing, check the stage and your team’s job before replacing the whole lineup. An attacker facing a resisted enemy, a damage dealer without the right support, or a team with no protection in a punishing boss fight can all be the problem. The right fix depends on whether you are running out of damage, getting wiped out, or losing a key character too early.
Start by identifying how the team is failing
Different symptoms point to different team-building mistakes. Use the result of the fight to narrow down what to change, rather than swapping several characters at once.
- The enemy survives too long: check its trait, your attacker’s damage type, and whether teammates’ skills support that attacker.
- Your team is defeated before it can finish: consider protection such as a defender, damage reduction, or an effect that lowers enemy damage.
- A key character falls before contributing: review their placement and whether they need more protection or should begin in reserve.
- The fight seems to punish your usual strategy: inspect the stage’s displayed conditions before relying on buffs or copying a team template.
These are diagnostic clues, not separate in-game rules: the appropriate change depends on the encounter and your available characters.
Check the enemy trait before changing your lineup
Inspect the enemy’s displayed trait or weakness, then use a compatible attacker when your roster allows. Game8 reports approximate damage of 1.5 times normal against a weakness and 0.75 times normal when attacking into resistance; these are guide-reported figures, not a developer-published guarantee. Check the current encounter display rather than treating the multipliers as a substitute for its specific information. Game8’s team-building guide also emphasizes matching attackers to enemy traits.

Build around what your characters’ skills actually do
Role labels can help you scan a roster, but they do not tell the whole story. Game8 groups characters into broad functions such as attack, defense, enhancement, disruption, weakening, and recovery, while noting that a character may serve more than one purpose. Read the relevant skills and identify what your damage dealer needs.
- Check whether the attacker deals taijutsu or jujutsu damage.
- Look for teammate buffs that support the attacker’s damage plan.
- Check whether an ally can make enemies take more damage through a debuff.
- Before relying on buffs or debuffs, look for stage conditions that weaken or prevent that approach.
A team with several strong attackers can still lack a coherent damage plan. Game8’s examples pair attackers with buffs or damage-taken debuffs; the useful lesson is to match support skills to the chosen attacker and stage, not to copy a lineup blindly. See Game8’s examples and role descriptions.

Add survival tools when you are being overwhelmed
If characters are falling before your team can finish a boss or other difficult battle, damage alone may not solve the problem. Game8 recommends considering defenders or supports that reduce incoming damage, as well as effects that lower the enemy’s damage, for high-difficulty fights. Treat that as a situational adjustment—not a mandatory slot for every quick story battle. The trade-off is straightforward: protection can help a team stay in the fight, while a faster damage-focused setup may be preferable when survival is already reliable.

Choose who starts in the frontline
Game8 describes the fifth team slot, marked as “sub,” entering when a character reaches zero HP; the sixth slot, “support,” enters after another active character falls. Use that order deliberately. If a fragile but valuable character needs time before joining the fight, consider placing them in reserve, keeping in mind that reserve entry depends on active characters being defeated. Game8’s formation guidance.
Use team examples as encounter-specific templates
Published lineups are starting points, not universal answers: they reflect particular characters, stages, and mechanics. For example, Game8 describes a strategy for a fight that cuts or prevents buffs using multiple debuff effects instead. GameWith gives a narrower illustration of synergy involving the sequence of domain effects, where one effect is applied before another can overwrite the field. Neither example means that the same characters or sequence will solve unrelated stages. Check the fight’s conditions and the skills in your own roster before adapting a template. What to check before asking for a specific lineup
There is no single best team established for every roster and stage. To get useful, tailored advice, gather:
- The stage or boss you are losing to and its displayed trait or mechanics.
- Your four active characters and your fifth and sixth slots.
- Each character’s level, grade, and relevant skills.
- The Recollection Bits equipped on those characters.
- Whether the main problem is low damage, defeat before the fight ends, or a key character falling too early.
The US App Store listing describes the game as a smartphone RPG in which players form teams to fight Cursed Spirits and equip Recollection Bits. The official Phantom Parade site identifies it as the official smartphone RPG.
