Its official site describes broader uses including attendance, reporting, planning, budgeting, activity monitoring, and payroll-related workflows. It is available through browser, desktop, mobile, and kiosk access, with data synced online, according to Clockify’s homepage.
That combination can help a business capture hours, understand where labor is going, and review submitted time. The value depends on whether those workflows match how the team works and whether the required capabilities are available in its chosen plan.

Employees can start a timer when they begin a task and stop it when they finish. This approach records time as work happens and associates it with a project or task.

Enter hours in a timesheet

Use a shared kiosk
A kiosk lets workers clock in at a shared device, such as a tablet at a common worksite. It may suit teams that do not want each employee to use a personal device for clocking in. The kiosk is one access option, not proof that every time-entry method or feature works identically across plans.
Why managers may find the records useful
Clockify says its reports can break down time by user, department, project, and date. That can help managers inspect submitted hours, understand how time is allocated, and review labor in relation to project work. Approval workflows add a check before submitted timesheets and expenses are accepted.

The headline’s “500,000+ businesses” figure is not independently confirmed by the official pages cited here. Clockify’s homepage, accessed in 2026, says “7M+ users in companies worldwide.” Its startup page, also accessed in 2026, says “Over 260,000 companies use Clockify to track time and improve productivity.” The pages do not explain how the counts differ, and neither states a measurement date or methodology. Treat these as separate claims made by Clockify, not as interchangeable or independently verified totals.
The homepage also displays “4.8 Rating • 9,000+ Reviews” and customer-satisfaction figures of “95%” and “95% satisfaction (18k+ ratings).” These are vendor-reported claims; the surfaced page does not identify the review platform or explain the methodology or date behind the satisfaction ratings. They should not be read as a verified comparison with other time trackers.

- Choose an entry method: Decide whether employees will run timers, fill in timesheets afterward, clock in at a kiosk, or use a combination.
- Check the review process: Confirm that the reporting and timesheet or expense approvals fit the way managers need to review work.

At the time reflected in Clockify’s official pricing search result, the Basic plan was listed at $3.99 per seat per month with annual billing or $4.99 per seat per month with monthly billing. Those figures are time-sensitive and may vary by currency or location; check Clockify’s pricing page for the current price, taxes, billing terms, and feature availability before deciding.
Bottom line
Clockify’s practical appeal is its range of ways to capture time and its tools for reviewing that time across a team and its projects. Whether it is right for a business depends on the preferred entry and approval workflows, the required features, and the current cost for its seats—not on an unverified adoption headline.
