If an FC Ultimate Team SBC won’t submit, first check which format you’re completing, then compare your selection with the exact requirements shown on that challenge. In FC 26 and FC 27 puzzle SBCs, a single unmet squad condition can block completion. In FC 27 Simplified SBCs, the key check is whether eligible Player Items have reached the required Item Score. Also check that selected items are not locked in an active Evolution and that the challenge has not expired.
Why won’t my SBC submit?
The fix depends on the game version and SBC format. EA’s current guide covers FC 27 and FC 26, but the submission flow is not identical: FC 27 includes Simplified SBCs that use Item Score, while puzzle SBCs still use squad requirements. FC 26 SBCs follow the squad-based path. Open the specific challenge and use its live criteria rather than assuming every SBC has the same rules. See EA’s guide to how Ultimate Team Squad Building Challenges work.

| FC 26 SBC | The squad conditions displayed on that challenge. | Submit a squad that meets its listed criteria; an expired SBC no longer accepts a squad. | Submitted Player Items are permanently removed. |
Why can’t I submit my squad?
For a squad-based SBC, check each condition on the active challenge. EA lists these as possible requirements, but not every challenge uses all of them:

Read the full requirement panel, including any additional rule shown in-game. If a condition is unmet, change the squad combination only after identifying which one; changing players at random can solve one requirement while breaking another.

Why does it say my squad doesn’t meet the requirements?
Check the active challenge’s exact criteria
Compare the selected squad against every displayed criterion, not a generic SBC checklist. Requirements vary by challenge, so confirm you have opened the intended SBC and are reading its current rules. If one condition remains short, try a different combination and recheck all criteria before proceeding.
For FC 27 Simplified SBCs, check Item Score
Do not look for an 11-player squad requirement on a Simplified SBC. Add eligible Player Items, watch the Item Score progress and remaining amount, and review which items are selected. If the target is incomplete, the challenge is not complete; the progress can be saved for a later session.

Could a selected player be ineligible?
Check whether any selected Player Item belongs to an Evolution that is still in progress. EA says Evolution Players cannot be submitted to SBCs while their Evolution is underway; a completed, fully upgraded Evolution Player can be used. See EA’s guidance on Ultimate Team Evolutions.
Has the SBC expired?
Check the challenge’s expiry time in-game. EA’s FC 26 guidance states that an expired SBC no longer accepts squads. FC 27 Simplified SBCs can accept partial submissions before the score target is met, but those items are removed immediately. EA says an expired, partially completed Simplified SBC may provide a reduced untradeable reward based on progress.

What should I check before confirming?
Pause on the final confirmation screen and verify every selected Player Item and the reward. EA’s warning is direct: “SBC submissions are final.” Submitted items are permanently removed, and EA Advisors cannot restore them. This matters especially when trying a different squad combination or contributing items toward a partial Simplified SBC.
What if all the requirements look correct?
If the correct challenge is active, the visible criteria are satisfied, and all selected items are eligible, but the action still fails, contact EA Help. EA’s SBC guidance does not establish a universal technical fix for every platform or error. Without an error-specific EA instruction, do not assume that clearing a cache, reinstalling the game, switching platforms, or waiting a set period will resolve the problem.
