There is no confirmed favorite to win Dancing with the Stars season 35. As of ABC News’ September 29, 2026 update, Jenna Dewan, Amber Glenn, and Ezra Frech make a reasonable early watchlist based on their dance-related or elite athletic backgrounds—but those credentials do not establish ballroom results or viewer support. The season is still underway, and the official sources available do not provide vote totals, public odds, or a complete current leaderboard.
Who could win Dancing with the Stars season 35?
Jenna Dewan, Amber Glenn, and Ezra Frech are defensible early contenders to watch. They are not a ranked forecast: Dewan has a documented dance-related film background, while Glenn and Frech have elite competitive athletic backgrounds. Those are possible advantages in a performance competition, not evidence that any of them is likely to win.

The show’s results combine judges’ scores with viewer votes. Without published contestant-level vote totals or a complete, comparable score record, it is not possible to identify a clear favorite from the available official information.

Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy
ABC’s cast biography notes that Dewan first drew attention in the 2006 film Step Up. That dance-related experience makes her a natural name to watch, but film work does not by itself demonstrate ballroom proficiency or predict how viewers will vote.
#1 Best Overall
Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov
ABC identifies Glenn as an Olympic gold medalist. Elite skating can suggest physical discipline and performance experience, but it does not establish ballroom technique or audience support on this show.
Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach
ABC identifies Frech as a Paralympic gold medalist, and the cast announcement describes his competitive athletics background. That makes him a plausible athletic contender; his ballroom ability and viewer support still have to be demonstrated in the competition.

Who is still on DWTS season 35?
ABC News reported 12 couples remaining on September 29, 2026. The season continues, so this is a dated snapshot rather than a current guarantee.

How does the season 35 competition work?
Season 35 began with 16 celebrity contestants paired with professional dancers. The two-night premiere aired September 15 and 16, 2026. Each couple appeared on only one premiere night; male celebrities danced on September 15 and female celebrities debuted on September 16. Each premiere dance used a No. 1 song from the celebrity’s birth year, and one male contestant and one female contestant were eliminated on their respective nights.
Premiere-night voting was limited to the couples performing that night. Viewer votes combined with judges’ scores to determine who could be in jeopardy. The hosts are Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough; the judges are Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough.

What would make a stronger prediction?
A useful forecast should distinguish background credentials from results on the dance floor. As more episodes air, compare:

When and where can you watch season 35?
ABC’s official materials say season 35 airs live on ABC and Disney+, with episodes streaming the next day on Hulu. ABC’s series page listed a Tuesday 8/7c schedule and episodes through “Yacht Rock Night” on September 30, 2026, when checked October 3; schedules can change, so check the current listing.
What does the premiere audience figure show?
ABC/Disney reported 6.67 million total viewers for the September 15, 2026 premiere, citing Nielsen National Live+Same Day Preliminary Panel Only Program Ratings. ABC compared that preliminary same-day figure with 5.38 million for the September 16, 2025 season 34 premiere. These are premiere audience figures, not a full-season or final multiplatform total, and they do not show which contestant has the strongest viewer support.
