There is no verified public ranking of ASMR artists by personal net worth. A 2026 ranking puts Zach Choi first by a mix of visible channel scale and business signals, with Jane ASMR close behind, but those measures show audience reach—not what any creator owns or keeps after expenses and taxes.
Who is the richest ASMR artist?
Based on the public indicators used in one 2026 ranking, Zach Choi is the leading candidate: its dated snapshot lists about 33.7 million YouTube subscribers, 15.4 billion views and more than 2,000 videos. Jane ASMR follows closely in that ranking, with about 18.4 million subscribers, 8.34 billion views and more than 2,800 videos. These are approximate channel figures reported by the DocumentaryTube Team, not verified net-worth figures.
The ranking combines audience size, catalog strength, recent traffic and visible business diversification. Its author acknowledges that changing the weights—or knowing more about private business income—could change the order. It should therefore be read as a ranking by public signals, not a finding about personal wealth.

What the public numbers can—and cannot—tell you
- Subscribers and views measure reach. They do not disclose a channel owner’s revenue share, operating costs, taxes, private sponsorship terms, investments or other assets.
- Catalog size is context, not a balance sheet. A large archive may attract ongoing views, but the public video count does not show how much money it generates.
- Visible business activity is only partial evidence. Publicly reported merchandise, sponsorships or other ventures can indicate diversification without revealing profit or ownership details.
- A smaller channel could be more profitable. The 2026 ranking notes that memberships, licensing, music, livestreams, sponsorships or other businesses may change comparisons based on audience size alone.
For historical context, The Guardian reported that YouTube had more than 90 billion ASMR views in 2022. That is a platform-wide genre figure, not a measure of any artist’s earnings. An academic thesis by T. Swart at Goldsmiths records more than 1.7 trillion views across the top 10 ASMRtists’ 3,500 videos as of May 2018, and more than 5.7 trillion views across 4,450 videos and more than 24 million combined subscribers by December 2019. Those figures describe the dates given, not today’s totals or personal wealth.
How ASMR creators earn money
Creators can earn through several channels, and the mix varies. YouTube describes advertising alongside memberships, fan-funding features, Shopping and brand-partnership tools. Availability and eligibility can change; platform announcements explain mechanisms, not whether a particular creator qualifies or how much they earn.

Advertising and platform features
Jojo Singer told The Guardian that he received an early $1,000 YouTube payment, recalling: “I was like, ‘Dad, I got $1,000 from YouTube.’ ‘For what?’ ‘OK, hear me out, there’s this thing called ASMR.’ He was like, ‘Are you doing drugs?’” This is an anecdote about an early payment, not a current earnings figure or a typical creator result.
Merchandise, sponsorships and businesses
The Guardian’s profile says Jojo earns money from AdSense, merchandise and brand deals, and that he started White Noise, an agency for other creators. It is a concrete example of income sources beyond video advertising, but it does not disclose his total earnings, net profit or net worth.
The 2026 ranking describes Gibi ASMR as having visible diversification that includes sponsorships, merchandise, Twitch and music, as well as professional support. This helps explain why channel subscriber counts alone are an incomplete guide; it does not establish the value or profitability of those activities.

YouTube’s June 2023 announcement discussed earlier access for eligible creators to features such as memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, Super Thanks and Shopping. Its September 2026 announcement discussed developments in brand partnerships and Shopping. These dated announcements are not a substitute for checking current program rules, and the existence of a feature does not show that every creator uses it.

A reliable personal net-worth comparison would require comparable information about assets and liabilities, ownership stakes, earnings, expenses and taxes. How to read future “richest ASMRtists” rankings
- Check the date. Subscriber counts, lifetime views, uploads and platform features change; a ranking is a snapshot.
- Check the metric. Determine whether the list measures audience reach, estimated income, visible business activity or claimed personal net worth. Those are not interchangeable.
- Look for comparable evidence. Useful public indicators include dated audience figures, catalog and upload history, recent activity and documented revenue streams. They remain proxies unless supported by comparable financial records.
- Treat precise wealth claims cautiously. Without disclosed methodology and verifiable financial information, a precise net-worth figure is an estimate, not a confirmed fact.
