The clearest source-backed premium appliance shortlist in Australia is Miele, Fisher & Paykel, Gaggenau, and Sub-Zero/Wolf. Their Australian-facing materials explicitly use premium, flagship or luxury positioning. Liebherr and ASKO are also worth considering in relevant categories, but the available evidence establishes Australian catalogue or retailer presence more clearly than a precise tier for either brand.

The Australian-market site gives the brands distinct roles: Sub-Zero for refrigeration and Wolf for cooking. It also lists Cove. This is a specialist comparison to consider when those categories are central to a kitchen plan, rather than evidence that the brands are objectively best in their fields.

Where do Liebherr and ASKO fit?
Liebherr and ASKO are present in Australian market materials, but the evidence available here does not establish a consistent tier for either across categories. Liebherr’s Australian catalogue page lists a September 2026 price list and 2026 design guides for freestanding and fully integrated appliances. An Australian retailer includes both Liebherr and ASKO among its premium offering, but a retailer’s grouping is not an independent ranking.

How to compare premium appliances before buying
- Compare within a category. Start with the appliance you need—such as an oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, laundry appliance or wine cabinet. A brand-level reputation does not identify the best model for every use.
- Check fit and installation. Confirm dimensions, ventilation, cabinetry requirements, electrical needs and whether the appliance is integrated or freestanding. Check finish and suite compatibility if matching appliances matter to your design.
- Match features to household use. Compare the cooking, food-preservation, cleaning or fabric-care functions you will actually use rather than relying on a premium label.
- Verify local ownership support. Ask the brand and seller about the current Australian warranty, service access, parts support, installation requirements and delivery constraints for the model and your location.
- Calculate total installed cost. Include the appliance, required accessories, delivery and installation, plus any cabinetry or electrical work. No comparable Australian price set establishes a brand-level price winner.
